Democrat Governor of North Carolina Calls For Cancellation of 2012 Elections

Could it be that Beverly Purdue the Democrat Governor of North Carolina let the strategy for the 2012 Elections out of the bag when she gave a recent speech where she suggested that Federal Elections in 2012 should be canceled? She explained the purpose of it would be so those in office can focus on "fixing" the country and "economy." Purdue just so happens to be the Host Governor for the 2012 Democratic National Convention. So, what do you do when the ensuing firestorm by calling for the first cancellation of Congressional and National elective offices in U.S. history spreads in this age of Facebook and Twitter? You lie your ass off and release a statement saying she was "clearly joking". Really? Well in this age of smart phones with video cameras and voice recorders you now get caught in a two-lies-for-one idiotic political gaffe. In the game of Black Jack they call that "Doubling Down". Clearly anybody listening to this actual video will hear in her own words, tone, and inflection that it was in earnest. I think she got a bargain deal picking up the available political damage control team that recently became available from Congressman Wiener's office. So this is just the latest example of stupidity followed by deceit followed by the truth will prevail.

I remember probably the finest example of this strategy when Congressman Hank Johnson was also "just joking" in the Congressional Hearings about putting more Marines on Guam and his fears that the Island would capsize and sink as a result. The video record and controlled disbelief of the Naval Admiral he was speaking to clearly suggest otherwise; and it does clearly show he is an imbecile. But, lets cancel the elections and let this guy help fix our country? Now that is no joke.Unbelievable.

Flight 93 Shanksville, PA Memorial to Honor America's first Victory on 9/11/2001

I think George W. Bush summed up the Nation's sentiments perfectly with this speech marking the 10 year Anniversary of America's first Victory in the War on Terror amidst the wildflowers in a field in Pennsylvania. Victory?? You are thinking...? Absolutely!This place and the memorial site destined here are sacred ground in our war on terror that began on that terrible day 10 years ago. In marking this place as site of great trajedy in American history; it too is the site of America's first clear victory in the war on terror. When Todd Beamer said "Let's Roll" ordinary American's joined in to be the Citizen Soldiers that we American's all have instinctively, historically, and indelibly embedded in the DNA of our being. Todd and his fellow "soldiers" pushed forward to the cabin in their counterattack on Al Qaeda with the courage of Seal Team Six. They mirrored the sense of duty, sacrifice, and service of Ranger Pat Tillman, when they voted their course of action and began their difficult task in the first Counter-Offensive of the War on Terror in the back of American Airlines flight 93 over the bright skies of Pennsylvania. Their loved ones were able to tell them what happened in NY and the Pentagon, and they knew they must stop the terrorists at all costs. They fought for their own lives, and they fought for fellow citizens lives they would never know, but they died with the certain knowledge that their sacrifice was not in vain. They accomplished their mission and secured their victory with the certain Lethality of Seal Team Six in another Victory in the War on Terror at a non-descript Pakistani compound that was to come nearly 10 years later. The Americans honored at this site today started the offensive in our War against terror and absolutely scored the first victory of the many to follow. God Bless them all. Pray for their loved ones left behind, pray for comfort, peace and healing to assuage the pain of their loss for all who hurt on this terrible day. A day when America changed forever; yet also triumphed in so many ways, none better exemplified than by the example of these Citizen Soldier's who gave their all on Flight 93 over Shanksville, PA 10 years ago.

God's Best Wear White Sunglasses and Carry Bibles

I want to share this story of God's purpose and his presence that happened to me yesterday. It was an amazing manifestation of his Grace, Power and Love.

As many of you know and my thanks to all who have been praying dutifully for him, my father-in-law Hugh Brechtel (they weren't included in the divorce) got the terrible news late last week that he had a brain tumor. Tuesday morning he collapsed at home in Sequim and was rushed to the hospital in Port Angeles. They transferred him immediately to Swedish Hospital in Seattle for testing and possible surgery. He was scheduled for later in the week but yesterday early in the morning, they decided to do surgery at 10:00 AM.

I was on the ferry yesterday trying to get focused on work crossing from Kingston to Edmonds. I was heading to the Food Galley to get some coffee hopeful it could clear the cobb webs lingering from my fitful nights sleep. I was approaching a young man, perhaps in his late twenties dressed in dark navy blue athletic sweats and wearing these awful all-white sunglasses... the first thought that came to my mind was "man I must be getting old, I would never wear those 'gay-boy' sunglasses". . . . then a voice and thought followed almost instantly "Judge not lest ye be judged" and I quickly admonished myself and asked forgiveness for my first impression as not being a very Christian thing to think about someone I know nothing about. In the first place I told myself, I should not judge anyone. In the second place, if he were Gay; I should Love him as though he were my own brother, regardless of orientation. As I got closer and passed him he took off his sunglasses and our eyes met for a second as he sat down preparing to read his Bible he had just laid down on the tabletop. A Bible? Oh, he's a believer. God just put a bold exclamation point for me on his scripture verse "Judge not lest ye be Judged"!

I continued on to the Galley for my coffee without giving it much more thought and sat down checking my watch and considering the fact that my father-in-law Hugh was in surgery at Swedish Hospital for a brain tumor at that moment. I was thinking about all the prayer I had given up and asked others for, and knew that God was in control, yet I was suddenly overcome with fear and dread for Hugh and family. The fact that I had devoted much prayer and also knowing that many were with me in prayer for Hugh and family was of no momentary comfort. Doubts and fears of the unknown were chipping away at my faith. Overcome by this angst I put my head into my hands for a minute and started to pray for reassurance, and fortification. I just felt so alone and empty and so too was my effort at prayer reflected similarly; it was empty and impotent. With my head still in my hands I asked for God to help me through my fears for Hugh and help me find some strength to help him, my ex-wife Marti, and Mom. Then, and I can't describe it fully... but a voice, and thought came to me. The verse just popped into my consciousness, like a light in the darkness guiding me through my doubt and despair as it came to me: For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them. Matthew 18:20. I didn't even know at the time the chapter and verse. (I am terrible at remembering that stuff) Yet here was this verse, flashing before me like Christmas lights. Just as suddenly my thoughts were broken by the crackle of the Ferry PA system announcing our imminent arrival to Edmonds and asking for our return to our vehicles. This interrupted and ended my feeble effort for prayer. Walking back to my vehicle I was again passing by that young man with the White Sunglasses and Bible. But then, I just stopped. Right then. Right there. I said to the young man that I had noticed his Bible and asked him if he was a believer? YES I AM! He said with unabashed gusto and pride. He told me his name was Aaron. I told him mine and that I too was a believer. Then I told him (as I struggled to check my emotions) about my father-in-law that was in Surgery for a brain tumor at this very moment. I told him this would seem an odd thing to ask of him, but would he pray with me for Hugh as a brother in Christ? Of course! Aaron said, and he invited me to sit. We reached hands across the table. Aaron asked me to open and he would close. What a sight I imagine this was with busy people, and their busy lives, rushing past us to get to their cars while two grown men, oblivious to the world around them were connected and locked in fervent prayer. Two men who were complete strangers but a minute before. Two men that Love God. Two men brought together by an open Bible on a table. We prayed in earnest for God's comfort for Hugh, my ex-wife Marti, and my Mom-in-Law. I prayed for the tumor to be benign and to heal Hugh according to His will. We were too busy to worry about secular discomfort around us by our public display of our faith. I was a believer in need and he was a believer answering my call for help. I remember the eloquence and beauty of Aaron's Prayer especially one part with him asking .....(as close to verbatim as I can recall)......

Lord: ' though the surgeons may not be followers of you, help them and guide their hands for your purpose using them as your instruments for Hugh's healing'. At the moment he said that, I had a peace and comfort of assurance that all would be well and that God would take care of Hugh and family. It is my hope that if anyone saw the event, rather than a negative reaction to it, I hope it brought positive witness to them in the spontaneous power of love, faith and the fellowship of Christ.

Aaron and I spoke briefly following our prayer and he told me a little bit about himself. He lives in Kingston. He is serving his country as a civilian contractor Physical Training instructor working for the U.S. Navy. He was traveling on the way to work in Everett when our paths crossed. He is engaged to be married and I congratulated him and extend the same to his lucky fiancé. He is a member of New Life Church, in Kitsap county and is a fine young man with an amazing heart, faith and wisdom beyond his years. Aaron gave me his phone number and asked me to let him know how things turned out with Hugh. Aaron was also the first person at the top of my text list when I left the Hospital several hours later after visiting a joking and joyful Hugh telling everyone the wonderful news of success with this glorious text!

Surgery was a big success, he should be fine, nearly certain tumor was benign, TY ALL FOR PRAYERS- God is Awesome!

Aarons text reply: Praise God! He IS awesome! So good to hear mike! Thanks for letting me know.

Our prayers lasted for only a minute, but I felt so much better sharing that prayer with another. I felt the comfort of God and his Love manifest through a complete stranger named Aaron who God used to help lift me up, and help to heal Hugh. Aaron is not a stranger and he really never was; he is my brother in Christ. God directed me to him and placed him there in that time and place for his purpose. I know God worked through him in but a few minutes to teach me a lifetime lesson about earthly judgment, to bring faith to overcome my fears, and to bring healing and comfort to Hugh, Marti and those I Love. Meeting Aaron was a test for my commitment to God. I am so grateful for Aaron's blessing and to God for bringing me this new friend and giving me this Testament of God's Love and purpose through faith.

For me, this is the REASON for the Season. I just received the greatest Christmas gift I could hope and pray for; Hugh's successful surgery and the start of his complete and full healing. That is what Christmas is about. The Family. The Love. The gift. Mankind living and giving to others selflessly as Jesus would want us to do. Merry Christmas to Aaron and everyone. God Bless.

Update: 12/10/10 Hugh and Marti- Only a Day after successful major Brain Surgery. Looking good, and God is Great!

I would and could write more, but I have to go now. Besides, I can't see through these bleary eyes any longer as I write this. It must be my monitor is too bright and I need to go find and buy some really cool White Sunglasses. I think they probably have some at Big 5 Sporting Goods. I am going to wear them proudly for God and to honor my new found friend, Aaron.

Rossi Loses Senate Battle but Crucial to Victory for Conservatism

God Bless you and your family Dino! I am so disappointed that the citizens of this state did not appreciate and recognize what an incredibly valuable resource, asset, and human being you are or get to experience what an incredible Senator and advocate you would be for them. In this era of personal attack politics and deceit-in-advertising I guess it is just a fact of life and political reality now that this is JobOne to overcome as it gets in the way of the important issues. Your incredible work ethic and positive issue-based campaign effort was stunning. You went everywhere! From chucking axes at a logger-fest in Hoquiam (my personal favorite campaign video) to Colville you came, learned, and listened. From business executives in Bellevue to the poorest communities in the state, you went to find out what Washingtonians needed; ALL Washingtonians. In the few times over the years I have had the opportunity to talk with you I have been so impressed with your sincere interest and connection with “we the people.” Your concern and empathy for our trials and tribulations as well as your hope and desire to help us achieve our desires and dreams is clearly foremost. Before you joined this race the outcome would have been quite obvious. Another Senate race, and yet another possible 10 or 20 pt. blowout. You made this a very competitive race about ideas and choices and an alternative path and future for America. You sir made it a real race. Yes we came up a tad short; but your message manifest by and carried for “We the People” did not. Though you didn’t get a seat at the D.C. table; your message and ours was victorious and their/hers was and are stopped. In the greater war of ideas, issues, and governance your personal contribution and efforts in the battle on our behalf was crucial in the overall victory we gained in the greater War. Some may look at your loss as reflecting a rejection of the "National Mood" because our state didn't mirror the national results with a victory. I vehemently beg to differ! This state's population density in King County and and environs has been a guarantor of Liberalism and the guarantee for Statist success statewide. You have eroded and jeopardized that margin now in three statewide elections and served notice that overreaching, overspending, and overriding all the good citizens of Washington is over. I am certain you laid a foundation for a GOP Governor in 2012, and YES, I will support you if you want that job. But, I digress..You served notice that there are voices outside of just King County and we will now with great thanks to you Mr. Rossi be heard. Today Patty Murray has gained a new found appreciation of what we want. Dino your concession statement and press release today epitomizes the class and goodwill that is reflected in the exceptional man that I have had the honor to have met, supported, and come to know.

For your efforts in this battle for the future of our State and Nation, you deserve a medal. I on behalf of all the Liberty minded grateful citizens of Washington State and our Nation, do hereby award you a Political Medal of Honor (non-posthumous of course) for your sacrifice and essential contribution to the Victory achieved for your State and Nation on November 2nd, 2010.

Unfortunately, it appears that Washington is lagging behind the rest of America when it comes to their appetite for spending, pork, and entitlement mentality.We have a long way to go to get to the point where they understand that the more Government does for you; the more it can do to you. A friend of mine reflected this the day before the election. I asked him if he had gotten his ballot in for Dino. He told me “You know I am a Republican and I like Dino, but Patty has just brought us so much federal money to our state that I had to vote for her....” I was stunned. I told him they said the same thing about Robert Byrd, and because of Legislators like Murray and Byrd, we have bridges in Alaska to nowhere, and freeways in the mountains of West Virginia that end at their state line with no road connecting them in the next state! I further explained that Dino wasn’t opposed to legitimate and responsible Government spending, just unregulated government payouts/payoffs via earmarks or politically driven, economically unsound Stimulus and Bloated budget-busting growth, Programs or Spending worth doing should stand on it’s own merits and be passed after debate by up and down votes not as a political patronage to some supporter or Lobbyist, or for a quid pro quo settling a political debt to another Senator. Obviously, there is more work to do with Washington voters.

New DinoCrat- Work in progress!

I do have some hope for the future and for our States electorate. Dino you met just one of many brand-new DinoCrats at the Chimacum rally a week before the election. I introduced you to my good friend and neighbor Wim Sweerman of Quilcene. Wim was a life-long Democrat who has become fed up with his abandonment of his party by their Left turn. Mr. Sweerman survived WWII as a child in his native Nazi-occupied Holland and he knows tyranny up close and personal. He immigrated with his beloved wife Tina to the United States and became a citizen over fifty years ago. They worked hard, raised a family and he has always been a loyal Democrat, until you Dino. You sir with your candidacy earned his vote and hopefully initiated his turn for Conservatism. He still considers himself a Democrat; as evidenced by his playful defiance in holding your Dino sign upside down at your rally, but hopefully by 2012 he will be holding all the GOP signs right side up and voting fully right as well! You sir, earned his trust and vote when nobody else could from our party for more than 50 years. That is progress, and that is a Victory!

My other hope and solace for our states electors is that in this statewide race, you came so close, a color-keyed look at the map says it all. John Koster may still win and we picked up the two aforementioned seats in the U.S. House. I am also very pleased that a strong message was sent to the members of our State Government by voters taking back control of tax and spending issues with the 2/3 vote initiative and rejecting a State income tax crafted in a clear and brazen attempt and appeal to class warfare by big government soft-tyranny Statists. Also we cut into the margin of the Super-Majority in our State Legislature with some pick-ups.

Overall, I am buoyed and hopeful for the future. I know that there is much work to do in this state and in our great nation to bring back the prosperity, Liberty, fiscal responsibility and solutions facing this, the greatest Nation in the history of the World.

You are a good man Dino Rossi. Thanks to you and your family for the great sacrifice you and they made in your effort. I will never forget the loving exchange of your winks as you spoke in Chimacum returning the beaming gaze of your beautiful daughter Jennifer as she joined you on the trail, sacrificing her own Birthday time to be with you as you battled for her and all of our children and grandchildren futures. You are a winner Dino.

Rossi Statement On Washington State Senate Race

Bellevue, WA - U.S. Senate candidate Dino Rossi made the following statement regarding the Washington Senate race:

“This evening, I called Senator Murray to offer my congratulations on her re-election to the U.S. Senate.

“I ran for the Senate because I believe we need a basic course correction from where Washington, D.C. has been taking us and to make sure this country is as free, as strong and as prosperous in the future as it has been in the past to preserve the best of America for future generations.

“That was a message that found a very receptive audience all across this state, though not quite receptive enough.

“We’re sending at least one new person, maybe two, to Congress to represent Washington State. We elected a host of new people to the state legislature -- all on the message of controlling spending and helping the private sector grow, saying no to government overreach and confronting some very difficult challenges in front of us.
You’ve heard me say during this campaign that the problems we face are too big for one political party. They are, and I can say that with absolute certainty.

“It is my hope that the new House and Senate will address them seriously, responsibly, and in a bipartisan way. I hope the President and Senate Democrats will join the new House majority to face these problems head on rather than leaving them for the next Congress or the next generation.

Democrat's Strategy for Victory to Ensure Conservative's Success

I was watching Fox News this morning and almost every indicator for the Democrat Strategy for November is coming into sharp focus. A couple of weeks ago Harry Reid and Speaker Pelosi were in D.C. at a press conference echoing the same old message from years past. Ready? OK, here it is.... "BUSH BAD, WE GOOD. with a new twist... NO GO BACK TO BUSH. " (hey they have to keep it message simple for the willing dupes that voted Obama and Dem's in over years past right?) This was the same message robotically repeated by the AFL CIO Chief in Ohio when asked for comment about what is on Big Labor's radar for this Labor Day. So convinced are they in their dismally failed policies that they call for EVEN more of the same. More Stimulus spending, No tax relief for the Job creating segments of the economy, or for any other sound and economically PROVEN policy to reverse the ineffective and suicidal policies they have permanently grafted to themselves.

Unfortunately for Democrats and Liberals there are some new factors to consider in implementing their proven strategy one more time for another victory. All the folks during 2008 that were busy working and who were bombarded with a constant left-wing and Lamestream media Anti-Bush message are awakened and enlightened. No longer will they consider the Democrat message about how awful the economy was under Bush and those evil Republican's when unemployment was at essentially a fully employed 4% range, or during times of 6-8% annual economic growth rate. You see to most American's, even those that voted for Democrats in 2006 and 2008; that looks pretty good to them about now. Voter's are sizing up the Liberal lies and past rhetoric for being indicative of their current level of veracity. This new Democratic "message" is falling on voters deaf ears. American's are now even still being sold and told about new terms from the Democrats in another effort to perplex and obfuscate the electorate as they are told about "jobless recovery" and other nonsensical words and terms that only Democratic failure can dream up.

So desperate are these Democrats for some voter recognition of Democratic success or achievement and so unable to point to any of their own that Obama even brazenly co-opted and confiscated George Bush's credit and victory for ending the Iraq War last week before a national audience. Amazing! Obama, the very man that opposed the war and the successful Bush surge policy that Dubya had the political courage, skill, and conviction to employ; withdraws troops on Bush's scheduled plan he and his team determined in 2007 and 08; more that a year before Obama ever took office. I guess for Democrat's this is considered courageous? Sorry, audacity is not courage. The American people know better, as evidenced by their reaction to his shameful and disgusting Oval Office speech where he attempted to usurp Bush's credit for winning a War that Obama and his Coalition of the Clueless worked frantically for this nation to lose; for their own political gain.

Here's the problem for Obama and his Coalition of the Clueless; Americans now know what a bad economy looks like. They know the pain of what it FEELS like. They are taking the time and interest to learn the issues without relying on the Lamestream Media mouthpieces. They are even READING the bills passed by this "Coalition of the Clueless" that they admittedly haven't even read themselves. They see and feel the results of Obama and Democratic Leadership and policies with their very eyes; and they don't like it. They are angry. They are restless. They are sick and tired of being powerless. They are tired of being ignored and of having their Representatives voting with arrogance against their clear wishes and interests. They are ready for their voices to heard and felt on Nov. 2nd, and they are ready for Real Change. The Democrat strategy to "Victory" in November has been chosen by the Coalition of the Clueless. Democratic leadership and their allies are out to sell their old tried and true message to lead them yet again to victory, but Americans aren't buying the message anymore and it's a recipe for victory all right; victory for Conservatism and for American's.

Clint Didier, What were you thinking?

This blog post is a posting of my sentiments sent in a similar letter via email to Clint Didier on Saturday:

I am very disappointed in you Mr. Didier. I am sorry but this is going to have to be a bit harsh, because you haven't seemed to get the point or understand pragmatism in your recent political exercises. You claim to be a to the point, say-it-like-it-is kinda guy, so here goes. I have been and am a Rossi supporter and voter, but that said I can honestly tell you that if you were the primary choice I would have supported you 110%, without reservation or endorsement from Rossi. If you had won, I would have found some area's of disagreement with you to a minor degree on a few issues. But I think overall we would be in line on most issues and principles, just as Rossi is actually in line on your positions. Rossi would have been behind you 110% unequivocally and without reservation or qualification with a full endorsement on election eve. You know it and I know it. The furthest thing from his mind if losing would be to pull a stunt like you just have. With all due respect Mr. Didier, you are in no position to negotiate, dictate, or try to extort concessions from the winner. Politics and life 101.

You seem enamored with Football metaphors and examples as indicated by your shameful and clumsy attempt at extortion today. You were not chosen by the coach to be the starter, your role as a backup should then be to support the starter from the bench and help the team defeat Team Murray and to help save this nation. The stakes are too high and too important to rest on the machinations and delusions of grandeur from a guy who just got beat out for the starters job. A real team player would do exactly what YOU said you would do yourself on May 28th on the radio... "work for whoever is chosen 100%". Already your action has done damage, evidenced by some of your supporters who are "so-called" Reagan devotee's that are falsely characterizing Dino Rossi as a RINO and threatening a write-in campaign that is dangerous folly destined to make some irrational point that has no basis in fact except in their own minds and could possibly result in a Murray win. Rossi has a 100% Pro-life voting record and has carried the CONSERVATIVES water in and for the GOP for decades for the Coast and the Inland Empire. These very folks that claim to love and adore Ronald Reagan forget one of Reagan's most memorable quotes: "Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican".

You do your cause, your supporters, your state, your nation, your endorsers (Palin, etc.), your principles, and YOURSELF a great disservice by failing to get behind Rossi 110% on Friday. I have no idea why you took your eye of the ball and looked down field before you looked the ball into your hands but you dropped the ball as a result. In a race where EVERY vote will count to defeat Murray, you jeopardize that goal with what came off as an egotistical sense of self-importance. We cannot afford to have even one of your voters waffling, wavering, or God forbid stay home because you don't like the taste of Rossi's brand of Conservatism. Well let me ask you this. How does the last 4 years of Peelosi, Reid, Obama and Murray taste? Assuming you continue your quest to prove your point by taking your ball, the few "teammates" you had and going home. what satisfaction will there be in your support for Murray by now confusing, tainting, and disenfranchising your supporters into staying home or from helping Rossi across the goal line?

In short, who's side are you on? Murrays? Liberalism? Your clumsy attempt at brinkmanship will result in just such an outcome and perception with the end result of your unfortunate actions. Any scintilla of discord and dis-unity is noted by Murray and Democratic Leadership in determining how and where they will fight their battles, your actions feed and encourage their hopes and aspirations. The result may well be a greater emphasis by the National Party and her Union and Special Interest supporters to devote more resources on her behalf making our task much more difficult. In my view you have undone all the Goodwill you obtained with your candidacy; we both know what you need to do to get it back. Swallow your pride, be a man, HONOR YOUR WORDS and COMMITMENT from May 28th, show some leadership for your cause and your supporters by endorsing Rossi with the level of sincere support that you put into your opposition of Murray.

I have been in Conservative/GOP politics since I was 11 years old, I have had adults curse me and slam doors on me when I delivered Nixon for President campaign materials. I will not have ANYBODY question my Conservatism or Patriotism for the Nation, Flag, Constitution, or issues such as protecting Life, and likewise I resent anybody questioning a fine servant with a proven track and voting record for "We the People" like Dino Rossi . I am 48 years old now and terrified at what damage has been done to our nation and it's future in the past 4 years, we can't let them continue to have all the levers of power past 2010. What in the World is going on in our nation? Have we as American's allowed our political leaders to completely abdicate every semblance of common sense with our passivity and cynicism? In New York there is a debate going on right now to permit under the banner of "Political Correctness" and "Diversity" a Mosque to be built openly in the footprint of the former shadows of the Twin Towers. How is it possible that there is even plausibility for a debate on this outrageous issue and request to build this monument to Islam on this sacred location? Are we really going to let the Muslim world revel in the irony of allowing them to put an attraction second only to Mecca, as a place for Muslims the world over to come pray and celebrate over the hallowed ground of our heroes where they see a great victory for Islam? What the hell are these powers-that-be thinking? They defend and promote these sinister plans and those proposing them with the naiveté of Neville Chamberlain. Mayor Bloomberg is to Rudy Giuliani what Chamberlain was to Winston Churchill. We need more Churchill's in New York, and for our country.

Articles like this answer the "Progressives" question; Where did these Tea Party folks come from? They came from the ranks of infuriated, enraged, and awakened American citizens that have had quite enough thank you. Enough spending, enough pandering, enough corruption, enough debt, enough political correctness, enough destruction of the values and principles mirroring our common sense that we support and believe in.

Obama and his 'Coalition of the Clueless' are Tanking Big-Time

What more can be said that hasn't been said already? This man and his "Coalition of the Clueless" (Peelosi, Reid, Biden, Geithner, et al) and their policies are reaping what they sowed. You can only get so far on charm and teleprompters. Remember the video's and images from the campaign trail 2 years ago of fainting women and hysterical crowds and folks full of adoration and religous-like fervor? Those days are gone, replaced by high school students going comatose as he drones on and on espousing the very things of which he is the antithesis.

Last week during a High School commencement speech in Kalamazoo, Michigan he mesmerized the students with his vapid drivel into unconciousness as a student right behind him fell sound asleep during the excitment of his oratory. The thrill is gone folks! Last week Nancy Peelosi was jeered and heckled out of the Socialist political group America's Future Now meeting during her keynote speech. Security actually removed her from the podium as he can be heard, clearer than Joe Biden even, 'we have to go now, they are throwing things'. What can we take away from this when the socialists in power and being heckled, jeered and chased from the podium by their own radical lefties? I think the evidence is clear that the tide has turned, and it's bringing in a "Red" Tide and tsunami wave for formerly "Blue" America faster than Obama's goop is hitting the beaches of the Gulf.

We must keep up the intensity, momentum, effort, and energy in Turbo mode to reverse this disastrous "change" that was thrust upon an ambivalent and trusting America by the opportunistic Left. Americans are are waking up and they are restless, jobless, and are facing hopelessness that is resulting in anger at being gulled and duped by the Left and their lamestream media enablers.

We have to show them the truth, give them the hard facts and make the Conservative case as the way to fix and restore what has been destroyed. We must change the House and Senate 2010 and the Oval Office in 2012. This we must do to reverse the destructive socialist path the Liberal Left have thrust upon America.

Here is what they Forgot To Tell Us About ObamaCare. How about that Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Biden, the Cabinet Members, House Majority Leader, and Senior leadership Congresspeople, Senators, and their Staff members that were tasked with writing this bill and know it best are NOT in it. This is an all Democratic Party club and they have all received an EXEMPTION from falling under this health care bill and all of them hold get out of ObamaCare Free cards. Senator Grassley, Republican of Iowa noticed this between the time the bill passed the House and went to the Senate where they were doing the un-constitutional two-step reconcilliation process fix of the bill. Well, Grassley's amendment was defeated and it now officially stands they are out, everyone else is in. Only this small handful of American's from Obama down to perhaps several hundred or even a thousand souls if extended out, will continue with their own, private, "just what we want and like" Health Care. The rest of us, are on Socialized medicine in the basic form of Medicaid.

So, when Obama addressed the Nation some 6 months ago before both the House and Senate and was called out by Congressman King that night as a liar; King was spot on, he was. He stood right there and said he wanted us to enjoy the same health coverage that He (Obama), Senators and Congressman enjoy? Did he just mean some of them, the elite Democratic leaders only? The most curious thing is how the pee-on staffers of the leadership members of the House and Senate, wrote themselves an exemption that not only the average American would never get, but that average House Members or Senators wouldn't recieve either and not just Republicans, but even Democrats would be shoved off under the Socialized Government Plan, leaving the rest of the Congresspeople and Senators to join we in the lowly Proletariat. In writing the bill and it's provisions they were in a position to know exactly, better even than the Politician who they were working under writing out this bill, what would be the result and consequence of this monstrosity; and so they opted out. How convenient for them, yes? If ObamaCare was so damn good, they would be in on it and so would their patrons, Peelosi, Reid, Obama and all those exempted.

No GOP Gloating over Massachusetts, There is Work to do!

I like so many like-minded Conservatives and Patriots are thrilled with Tuesday's Massachusetts Senate election results and the larger ramifications. Ok enough of that, we need to now stop the partying and roll up our sleeves. While the sense of accomplishment, pride and realization that we are no longer alone in our stand against the path that our nation has been dragged down for the past year is a good thing, we now have a responsibility to differentiate ourselves from the status quo.

On Health Care Republicans have been frustrated with the public lip service of the liberals in the "Coalition of the Clueless" about bi-partisanship, only to be locked out of close door meetings and have their concerns and ideas dismissed out-of-hand. We literally have had GOP lawmakers who are physicians make multiple requests to meet with Obama, that have been shunned. With the change of the political ground after the Massachusetts quake on Tuesday, now is the time to move forward with GOP proposals and ideas. I suspect that the door is now ajar at the "Coalition of the Clueless" offices (Obama, Reid, Pelosi) and we might even be invited in. I just watched Nancy Pelosi on TV this morning admit that she doesn't have the votes to pass the Senate Health Bill in the House. Obama concluded and stated as much only yesterday as he threw in the towel. Just as I predicted would occur a week ago with a Scott Brown victory; the current Health Care Reform bills are dead, done, gone, and yes also kaput.

The goal should be to identify what is broken, what is in need of improvement and fix it. The Liberals plan would have been to throw the baby out with the bath water. I heard a great metaphor yesterday, in the Coalition of the Clueless' effort to brew a pot of tea; they tried to boil the ocean. This was because their real goal wasn't fixing the problems facing Americans with Health Care, it was using the problems as cause to expand their power and take more control of our lives and futures with another massive entitlement and the power that would be manifest within it. Using free market principles with minimal Government involvement and control, we can lower costs by increasing competition, passing tort reforms to reduce the cost of "defensive medicine" by doctors fearful of lawsuits and also by expanding coverage to all. We can also eliminate waiting periods, mandate portability, and provide better coverages than were proposed under Obamacare.

I wrote this in a blog post, June 22nd, 2009 the very day Rasmussen's Reports Obama's approval index went negative for the first time to minus 1, today he is at minus 15, Jan. 20th, 2009 he was at plus 30 approval. Today Rasumussen Reports the Congressional generic ballot favors the GOP over Dem's by 8 points. Rasmussen's polling is spot on, he was well within the margin for error in the Brown/Coakley race. Yes, we are making progress and Americans are understanding that they were sold a bill of goods, wrapped up in a slick and ambiguous package. Unfortunately for the Democrats they aren't defining the perception anymore as their credibility continues its free-fall; unemployment, insane spending, political cronyism and personal economic misery are.

June 22nd, 2009 BednarzBlogspot -Rasmussen polling indicates we are making headway and the door is open, Congressional generic ballots indicate the GOP is out polling Dems on being better at handling economic issues, and we are now virtually even on Congressional generic ballots. We have work to do to promote our Conservative principles and solutions even further. We must not relish the misery wrought upon our nation and fellow citizens as good for our political advantage, we must understand we have a responsibility to know that our covenant and great challenge for America is to get us out of this mess, and save millions from economic suffering, misery and disaster. This is a great responsibility and effort we undertake for the sake our our nation. With every new huge program, budget, or bill we know this Coalition of the Clueless are taking America down and it's citizens with it. The inevitable tax, fee, and insidious inflation increases will be felt and burden Americans. Americans must be made to understand where, and who it came from. We must show them the better way. We have to do just that for the mid-term elections coming in 2010.

We must offer a better way, better policies, superior ideas and features with proven track records of tangible benefits they can understand and will see in application to their lives. When we do this; in this current state of the economy Americans of all walks and lives will ask themselves this simple question as the folly and failures of the Coalition of the Clueless and Obama policies manifest themselves in their daily struggles.

Let's go, lets get busy! America is waiting for action and for accomplishment. Obama and the Democrats have shown they are all talk without substance, and can't complete any task with their refracted issue focus. If we want the privilege and honor of leading America back to it's greatness and potential based upon our principles and convictions; we must lead by example. America is telling us what they want, lets listen and focus on getting it done.

Scott Brown for Massachusetts U.S. Senate Seat!

Rarely does an opportunity for a political upheaval present itself like the current one for replacing the late Sen. Edward Kennedy's seat from Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate. At a critical time for our nations history, Scott Brown is poised to do the unthinkable and improbable; to win the Senate seat in the bluest of blue states, the seat held by the champion for socialized health care, to initiate liberalism's very demise and begin the reversal of our nations path from big-government tyranny to liberty. Scott Browns election could represent the deciding vote blocking Health Care from it's passage.

The ironies are thick and rich with the history and traditions of Mass. and Boston as the cradle and incubator of our nations founding and revolution for our freedom from tyranny. How fitting and appropriate that Liberty be restored here! Scott Brown has connected with the voters of Massachusetts and citizens across the U.S. to stop the tidal wave of Big Government socialism. He has gone from 30 points down to inside the margin of error in the most recent polls. Rasmussen has him at 47% to 49% for his liberal opponent Martha Coakley- she was hand picked by Obama and the Liberal left establishment to plug into their "can't lose" Senate seat following Kennedy's death. Now she is falling faster than Obama and Health Care's approval ratings with 6 days to go in the campaign. Even more remarkable is that Scott Brown is not a liberal Republican, he is Conservative on nearly all of the issues. Spending, Health Care Reform, National Security, Spending, Taxes, Environmental, Immigration, 2nd Amendment. Scott opposes Partial Birth Abortion, he also supports parental notification. Scott supports traditional marriage.

Scott Brown is a leader in the State Senate in Mass., a Lt. Col. in the Mass. National Guard, he understands that terrorists should be treated as enemy combatants, and not be treated like shoplifters after trying to kill Americans and blow up Airliners on final approach. The deficits added to the debt by Obama and this Congress in a mere 11 months since Bush left office have eclipsed and TRIPLED what Bush contributed during his entire 8 years in office, even counting the recession that was in place when Bush took office and the one that had started a year or so before he left office. Add in the economic impacts of 9/11 with the full implementation of the security and defense requirements to respond to 9/11 type threats and engage our enemies in the War on Terror. This tripling of the deficits added to the debt by Obama and Congress don't even include the big ticket goodies passed on Christmas Eve, these of course include Health Care and also, a Cap and Tax Climate Change Bill, Immigration Reform Bill, as well as the impending funding crisis they don't want to deal with for Social Security.

We now owe $39,457 per US citizen, and per TAXPAYER it's a staggering $111,639. This is your debt, our childrens, and our Grandchildrens. Even if you manage your own money responsibly and have no personal debt; you are in debt, big debt that YOU have no control over. You are being obligated and your children and grandchildren are also for who knows how many decades by this cabal in our government that have no qualms or concern with what they are doing to our national future. They are now doing more irresponsible spending and borrowing than Fannie and Freddie could ever have imagined. We are doing the equivalent of zero down loans on our national future with a 50, 80 or 100 year term and we are going to pay those loans off with borrowed play-dough money (the Treasury is issuing bonds and will print more money to cover the increased spending for the government to operate) these notes will not be covered by revenue, but only by more debt and interest. How are we going to pay for it? How are we going to grow our economy, provide jobs and prosperity for our current and future generations acting like this? How are we going to fix Social Security and provide for entitlements and obligations that we are currently obligated for and aren't meeting our commitments on? These are important questions asked by Americans, and the answers we get from those in power are more unfunded expansions of Government control, seizure's of private and healthily performing sectors of our free-enterprise system like Financial, Manufacturing, and now the latest sector; Health Care.

Ponder this, let it sink in and then pass this on. Yes the debt clock is ticking, but so is the growing discontent and furor of the American people and other clocks are also ticking toward the Congressional elections in 2010 and then the Presidential elections in 2012. I do have hope for the future and though I am quite concerned about our future; I will not give up or quit the fight. We can change this, we must change this.

My open emailed letter to Mr. Sam Tanenhaus, NY Times Book Review Editor and now author of a new book just released last week titled "The Death of Conservatism".

Dear Mr. Tanenhaus,

I caught your appearance on Fox News last week promoting your new book “The Death of Conservatism”,(a saavy marketing move by the way, more people watch FOX News in 10 minutes of an hour than watch CNN for the other 50 minutes). You were pretty funny dancing and dodging all those O’Reilly questions about why as the NY Times book review editor, you failed to review something like 10 of the top selling 13 non-fiction books of the year by authors such as Levin, O’Reilly, Beck, and other Conservative authors. A couple of thoughts occurred to me as I watched you promoting your own book (when you weren’t defending your paper and it’s book review bias as being “Not that Liberal”) of course.

I have a challenge for you Mr. Tanenhaus:

I will bet you $100 dollars donated to each of our favorite charities that Sarah Palin sells more copies of her new book “Going Rogue” pre-release and through the first month of it’s release; than you do of your own new book “The Death of Conservatism” from it’s release to the end of 12 months. Oh heck lets throw in Glenn Beck’s new book “Arguing With Idiots” too for the same bet amount and sales. 1 month vs. an entire year on yours. Shall we? When you lose the bet, what will it say about your entire premise and belief system that led you to write your own personal fantasy and try to sell it as a book? What do you say? Are you on?

Obama's Cash For Clunkers Program; A Preview of Obama Health Care?

I am in the Auto Wholesaling business and I can tell you I knew this Cash for Clunker program would be a nightmare for the public, and also the dealers. So now the Government has suspended it and dealers are anxiously awaiting word if their deals will be funded and their submitted applications honored. Personally, this program has damaged my own income significantly. I have seen more than 50 trade-in vehicles at my dealerships that would ordinarily be wholesaled by the dealer to me and others, which we then sell to other small used car retail dealers. We make a bit of money, the dealer we sell to makes a little money when they retail these "economy" cars, the salesperson makes a little money and the lower income folks who have little or no access to financing in these extremely tightened lending times, are able to purchase a car. The car is "recycled" from one owner to someone else who needs it to get to work, or use it for work in the case of these old trucks etc. that make up the bulk of the CFC trade-ins. This program has reduced the supply of these low cost economy cars in the available marketplace, this will drive up prices that have already been very high in due to low availablility from trading in during the poor economy and low new car sales. So, in the end the little guy and the single mom with lower incomes and the least options available to them for purchasing a used vehicle will be the ones hurt. Once again the unintended consequences are not considered.

Once traded in the CFC vehicle engines must be disabled by having acid poured into the running engine until it seizes, and then an authorized salvage agent picks up the car and has it crushed. How wasteful. I have lost potentially thousands and thousands of dollars to this program and other small business people like me have as well. In Mr. Fix-It's effort to save the planet, he expends tax-payer dollars and shows just how inept the government is when they try and inject themselves into areas best left to the private sector. This program is however good for a couple of things.

1) It illustrates and proves just how vibrantly the American people and businesses are that can respond to an incentive. This further illustrates the folly of the Obama/Democrat Stimulus plan. All we needed was a 50% cut in all taxes across the board for 2 years, and ensuring that the 2010 Bush Cut expiration is extended and made permanent. This would have spurred and stimulated activity and growth and job creation by unleashing economic engines of America, Consumers and Business in the same manner as CFC program did. It would have worked without burdening our children and grandchildren with the multi-generational debt, deficits and the abject failure of the Coalition of the Clueless (Obama, Peelosi, Reid, Geithner, Frank, Biden, Waxman etc.) and their ineptitude.

2) The market will respond to consumer demand, when the consumers demand is satisfied. Hybrid vehicles have had greater purchase incentives than even the CFC program. They have all failed to provide any meaningful increase in sales. In fact, Hybrid sales are a disaster. Uncle Sam offers you $2350 Tax Credit on a 2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid. But wait, you also get a local Sales Tax rebate that is part of the stimulus program, so in the case of the Altima in Washington selling for $34,280 you would get back about $3,153 for that alone. Nissan offers up to $3,000 in Cash Rebates. So that would mean $8,503 in Govt. tax rebates/credits plus dealer incentives for the purchase of a 2009 Nissan Hybrid Altima. In honor of the recently departed Billy Mays…. BUT WAIT! There’s more! I am using MSRP for pricing these vehicles are becoming nothing more than ship anchors and I bet you could get another 3 Thousand off MSRP just to get the thing cleared off their lot. What is the point I am trying to make? Simply this, Americans will buy what they want, not what the Government wants them to buy. They still want SUV’s and Trucks, and they are buying them with or without the Cash-For-Clunkers incentive. Visit a dealer’s lot and check out their supply of Toyota Prius and any other Hybrid model. I guarantee you that you will have the best selection to chose from of any other models on their lot despite the Government offering more than double the Cash For Clunker incentive. This is why Chrysler and GM will fail as long as the Government is controlling them. Thy must make and sell what people will buy. No amounts of incentives are currently pushing Hybrids off the lots.

3) It shows how utterly incompetent, unqualified, inefficient and naive the Government is when they get involved in something best left to the private sector. If the Government can't administer a relatively simple and benign 1 Billion dollar Cash-For-Clunker trade program effectively, how and why would Americans ever let them take over the best health care system in the world and and allow Government regulation, control, and administration of something with literally life and death importance for themselves and their families? Socialized Health Care would become the largest Federal Program in history with the absolutely under-estimated initial cost of more than ONE TRILLION DOLLARS for just the initial, small-scale implementation.

Obama's Presidential Approval Slides South With His Economy

Obama's June 21st Rasmussen Approval index was -2, the first time he has been negative since he took office. How can this be? All we hear about in the mainstream media is how Obama is still riding high with his 60% plus approval and has yet to be tied to his disastrous policies and mismanagement of the economy and foreign policy challenges facing Americans. This is the perception they report and use to gull the masses into believing this is the reality. The truth is the opposite; the media is guilty of deception by omission. What do I mean by that? Well there are 4 categories in a daily Rasmussen poll of Presidential Approval that they run daily as an index. Here are the questions. 1. Do you strongly approve of President Obama's performance? 2. Do you somewhat approve of Obama's performance? 3. Do you strongly disapprove of President Obama's performance? 4. Do you somewhat disapprove of President Obama's performance?

Remember Rasmussen, perhaps the most respected name in polling, tracks and polls on these same questions daily. But for purposes of his index he takes the STRONGLY approve and DISAPPROVE figures as his basis to arrive at his "index" that he tracks daily. The mainstream media typically use the lower "somewhat" numbers which are usually mamby pamby know-nothings who answer that way because they don't have a clue about what he is doing positive or negative to them and how their lives are affected by his issues and policies. For example, after the inauguration Obama rightfully enjoyed a sky-high approval; he hadn't done anything yet and we were all caught up in the unprecedented history, emotions and we gave him the traditional benefit of the doubt to see what his governing policies would be versus his campaign rhetoric. On Jan 22nd the day after inauguration his numbers were thus 44% strongly approve, 14% strongly disapprove. The somewhat approve and disapprove percentages were 64 and 29% respectively. This calculated to the Rasmussen approval/disapproval daily index to +30. The most recent Rasmussen daily tracking poll on Presidential performance and approval on June 21st went negative for the first time in his presidency. That's right, he now has a higher disapproval rating index than approval. On June 21st he had these poll figures: Strongly approve/disapprove 32/34% and Total approve/disapprove 53/46% which Rasmussen calculates at an index rating of -2. The first time Obama has shown a negative index rating during his presidency. Clearly as the negative numbers mount and the negative response to his policies continue to mount, Obama's messianic popularity is slipping with them as fast as his policies and economy are going South.

You don't hear Approval/Disapproval poll figures like this in the mainstream Obamamedia do you? That is why you must share this with everyone you can. However, we must not let Obama stand alone to face this music. He is only the empty-suited Community Agitator figurehead and leader of the "Coalition of the Clueless" and we Americans must take to task all parties involved in the effort to destroy our economy, weaken our National security and imperil America on virtually every front. Obama, Biden, Geithner, Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Frank, Holder, et al they need to be stopped by blocking their efforts through Congress. 2010 represents our first critical opportunity, and frankly given the pace of their destruction, perhaps our last chance to save our nation will be those mid-term Congressional elections. Yes we must link and tie these policies to Obama because he owns them but he isn't alone, and that is why we must mount an effective strategy.

Congress bears much responsibility for where we are today. Democrats and the liberals won power and took over control of the GSE's (Government Sponsored Enterprises) Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2006, Democrats led by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd immediately went to work protecting their GSE's and lending programs from Republican and Conservative efforts that had failed to reform and regulate irresponsible and fraudulent practices and policies at the GSE's that Democrats fought, opposed, and thwarted every step of the way from Republicans and a few Democrats trying to prevent or stop the impending doom of the Housing and economic meltdown as early as 2004.

Liberals in Congress in 2007 imposed "Mark to Market" accounting rules on assets and investments for Wall Street that had never been governed by this rule that typically applied to stock and commodity traders and securities; not bond or asset-backed bank and investment house securities and investments. This rule's application in heretofore never applicable instruments had a hastening effect upon the debacle at financial institutions. We must make them all culpable and have them inextricably linked with Obama and their socialist agenda and policies as a whole in a political partnership and conspiracy if you will, that has wreaked havoc on our economy, nationalized our industrial and business independence and vitality, and decimated our small business entrepreneurial base that drives the economic engine of America.

This linkage is important, and it will be successful, it's right out of the Liberal's own play book from 2006 in fact. What did they run for? They really didn't run for anything. They never promised to end the war, not really. They never offered any new positions, they just ran Congressional and Senate candidates against "BUSH" in every district and Senate seat vs. Republican's who were "just extensions and co-conspirators of Bush and his policies". Democrats won even though our economy was in a great economic condition, booming growth in the markets, Personal income growth at record levels, nearly FULL employment in the 4% range for any able-bodied person that wanted to work. They continually told Americans how awful things were and gulled the willing dupes into perceiving a parallel universe from the reality of our strong economic condition. Americans not old enough to remember the Depression or Carter years now have a clear vision and experience about what a horrible economy really looks like. They preached against and condemned the 500 billion Bush deficit, but we and they now look upon that as chump change with their only having 6 months in office creating a deficit of 3.7 TRILLION dollars, and the projections for 12 or 14 Trillion dollars of bankrupting debt by year 10 of the Obama and Coalition of the Clueless budgets. How hard will it be for us to retake the House and Senate given these conditions and TRUTHS of the debacle they have placed us in? Yes, they will keep trying to blame the inherited Bush recession drivel but the numbers will not lie, and they will be exposed as the liars that they are. We must make the case forcefully and eloquently with solid numbers, recovery plans, and take a page from Newt's old playbook that won us the house a decade ago..... we must offer a "Contract for American Renewal" that spells out exactly what we will do, not just economically, but socially and in every aspect of governance to restore our economy, employment, and recovery based upon free-market principles and policies. Bold strokes: Budget, Fiscal and Spending Restraint. Flat or Fair Tax to replace our tax system. Tax cuts to stimulate growth and recovery. Remove government from it's Nationalized businesses. Social Security preservation and reform. Health care reform that strengthens and covers all Americans at lower costs so they can enjoy the finest free-market health system in the world. Restoration of our commitment to stop terrorism. Protect life. Protect Traditional Marriage. Illegal Immigration policies and border security that puts Americans and lawful immigration first, to protect our jobs, economy, and provides for our national security and well-being. Defense policies that don't disable our missle shield that is on the verge of deployment; just as our arch enemies Iran and North Korea are at their greatest threat ever to attack us or our critical and closest allies with missiles and nuclear weapons. An energy policy that promotes domestic production and utilization of our own resources that creates real jobs; not just hiring people to screw in fluorescent light bulbs in federal buildings. We do this while we expand and develop alternative sources, technologies and expand nuclear power to not just help the environment but more importantly provide an alternative to keep America's economy thriving when our fossil fuel sources are exhausted. We will then have perfected these then economically feasible alternatives to replace them.

We will let American see that we will run for principles and concrete and tangible policies, we need to focus on bringing the policies and principles into benefits that they can apply and visualize in their daily lives.

Years ago when I sold new cars for a living, early in my career I would prattle off a bunch of technology features to a customer in my presentation, an experienced old salesman offered me this constructive criticism. Don't just list the features like that, i.e. "This car has ABS brakes and Traction Control with Dual Airbags" and leave it at that. Explain how the feature will benefit them, and educate them to the value of the feature to their lives and safety. Tell them this instead. "The ABS brakes keep you safe by pumping and modulating the brakes so they don't lock up and this will allow you to maneuver and steer safely while braking in slippery and emergency situations preventing collisions, and the Traction Control applies braking control to prevent the wheels from spinning and slipping in rain, ice, and snowy conditions to maintain safe stability and control at these critical times. Should you still find yourself in a collision the Airbag Restraint system deploys and provides maximum safety to prevent serious injury or death in the event of a collision." It's the truth, it's educating the consumer, and it's providing them with the perceived value to make an informed decision.

Rasmussen polling indicates we are making headway and the door is open, Congressional generic ballots indicate the GOP is out polling Dems on being better at handling economic issues, and we are now virtually even on Congressional generic ballots. We have work to do to promote our Conservative principles and solutions even further. We must not relish the misery wrought upon our nation and fellow citizens as good for our political advantage, we must understand we have a responsibility to know that our covenant and great challenge for America is to get us out of this mess, and save millions from economic suffering, misery and disaster. This is a great resposibility and effort we undertake for the sake our our nation. With every new huge program, budget, or bill we know this Coalition of the Clueless are taking America down and it's citizens with it. The inevitable tax, fee, and insidious inflation increases will be felt and burden Americans. Americans must be made to understand where, and who it came from. We must show them the better way. We have to do just that for the mid-term elections coming in 2010. We have to treat the voter as a consumer, we have to create real value for the Republican brand and product. We must offer a better way, better policies, superior ideas and features with proven track records of tangible benefits they can understand and will see in application to their lives. When we do this; in this current state of the economy Americans of all walks and lives will ask themselves this simple question as the folly and failures of the Coalition of the Clueless and Obama policies manifest themselves in their daily struggles.

AIG Bonus Scandal akin to March weather: In Like a Lion; Out Like a Lamb

Congress has dropped their efforts to extort, intimidate, and confiscate AIG employees rightful bonuses. Quietly their bill to unleash the IRS on them to confiscate their property faded away. What will not fade away with me or other Americans of like mind is the cavalier and callous disregard for our Constitution, laws, and the basic notion of fairness that our nation and society have always stood for. This for me was the most troubling aspect of this chapter of the liberals political theater.

Most of the AIG employees have already returned the bonuses though rightfully earned and owed them. What a decision it must have been to return these funds after many worked for their $1.00 a year salary with these contractually promised bonuses comprising their real and full annual income. Yet, what choice would they have but to return the money under the heavy weight of Government intimidation, personal and physical threats to themselves and their families as bus loads of ACORN and Code Pink protesters descend upon their lawns to protest and whoop it up for the media terrifying their families and children. Under the duress and tyranny orchestrated by this coalition of government, White House and their social activist groups and media sympaticos these Americans from AIG gave up the incomes necessary to provide for their families. Their privacy and security were violated and assaulted by the likes of Attorney General Cuomo of NY and this idiotic Attorney General of Connecticut Blumenthal. These criminals made good upon their threats to name AIG bonus recipients and to release their personal information including the amount of the bonus, and their addresses.

Congress and these AG's knew these laws were wrong, not even remotely constitutional, and they damn well knew they had no right to do what they did. There were no laws or violations to enforce. AIG and anyone associated with it were just too juicy and tempting a political target of political opportunity to resist, doubly so if the masses thought they were rich too. Everyone got swept up in the mentality of the mob in their quest for populist validation and credentials.

For the AIG bonus earners it must have been just like the mob coming for them in an old Western movie. Enraged Townsfolk march in the dark night under the light of torches to the jail house steps to administer their angry justice right now! In whatever way they saw fit. However unlike the Old Western movies this is ObamAmerika 2009.

There is no John Wayne or Ronald Reagan blocking the mob in front of the door with their hands gripping their Ivory handled revolvers while they are admonishing and setting the mob and it's leaders straight about law and order, duty, and doing the right thing. No, instead we had Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Cuomo, Dodd, Grassley, Frank, and all the other mental midgets simply greet the mob, hug the ringleaders and hand over the keys to the cells. Before they do though, they check to see if the mob needed any refreshments or a meal before they got busy on the AIG bonus earners inside. The only thing not fair in comparison to this metaphor is that in the Old Western movie the guy inside probably was a back-shooter, horse thief, or a bank robber deserving of harsh punishment, but not the mobs justice. In the case of the AIG employees, they did nothing wrong, they broke no laws.

To these mental midgets not having a law broken is a minor inconvenience. We'll just make up a law to punish them with for a law they never broke and to confiscate their livelihood. Their crime? They just did a job that they were asked and contracted to do. Many worked for the customary $1.00 a year in salary and the bonus that followed would complete their compensation under their contract. For that, they get people camped out on their front lawn, scaring the hell out of their children, and endure the full weight, wrath, and power of government, media, and the IRS on their heads.

Shame on America. Shame on these lynch mob mentality politicians (Democrats and Republicans) that swore they would uphold the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America. I am so saddened and sickened by this whole debacle because I never thought I would see America where she finds herself today. The blame for this lies squarely upon Barack Hussein Obama.

Obama should have and could have been a leader in stopping the lynch mob at the jail house. He should have assumed the role of John Wayne or Ronald Reagan in this Western of "The Showdown at AIG Corral" but Obama is no John Wayne and he sure as hell is no Ronald Reagan. Obama as an agent of Change? I think not, we just have a master at implementing the age-old liberal play book of pandering, class-warfare, and politics as usual. Obama and his Coalition of the Clueless got their "pound of rich people flesh" and fueled the flames of the lynch mob by inciting the class warfare and public outrage cards like dems and libs have for eons.

These actions did provide a useful distraction and diversion for getting a record budget buster bill through and past Americans that is destined to bankrupt 2 or 3 future generations not to mention also providing cover for a Trillion dollars of surreptitiously transfered Debt from our Treasury to the Federal Reserve when the bonus furor first errupted.

Obama's politics of thuggery and intimidation were further on display this past week in the White House. First he fired GM's Chariman and CEO Richard Waggoner. 'I want you gone, now go.' That was it. Then the same day details have come to light of Obama's meeting with the top CEO's and Executives of our nations largest financial institutions last Friday at the White House. Obama wanted to hear nothing of their concerns about how they have been scapegoated, vilified and condemned by numerous Government officials and lawmakers including Obama himself; for the sake of cheap political theater and populist zeal at their and their institutions expense. No, Obama was having none of this, in fact after lecturing them about the finer aspects of his knack for knowing what the public wants to hear or not hear he threw a threat right in the middle of that 12 foot long Mahogany table they were gathered around. It might as well have been with the same subtlety as a freshly sawed Horse head snuck into bed with Corleone's biggest nemesis. The words carried a similar understanding. He could also have the same impact by tossing GM's Chairman Waggoner's freshly sawed head on the table as Obama told them: “My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”

And there you have it. ObamAmerika in 2009, just 2 months into his term. We are today on the cusp of Obama and Congress passing a nearly 5 Trillion dollar budget bill, a bill that will put our National Debt and deficit at 12.5 TRILLION, by 2019. That means that every household in America in 2019 will have an additional debt obligation of $68,000.00 more per household of National Debt. Every household in America will owe a staggering $80,000+ of the nations debt when we hit 2019.

It's been just over 2 months of this "Change" from America to ObamAmerika. I hope Americans come to their senses and help we Conservatives put a stop to this abuse of power, abuse of America and abuse to our Constitution.

Obama Budget Bill explodes our National Debt

We keep hearing these heretofore unheard of numbers getting thrown around now for the past two months of the Obama Presidency. It is almost becoming passe' for the Democrats, just a Trillion here, a Trillion there.

We heard Obama on numerous occasions in the past few weeks tout how his budget and plan would "cut the deficit to $500 Billion" by the end of his first term. It just isn't possible. This chart clearly illustrates this fact, and it uses Obama's own OMB (Office of Management and Budget) figures. The CBO (Congressional Budget Office) just announced last week that Obama's OMB figures (the ones used below) are really Two Trillion too low, based upon the CBO's much more realistic calculations of growth and recovery than those used by the Obama administration. In 10 years by the final out year of the Obama Budget, our Federal Debt would be 80% of our Gross Domestic Product. That is unsustainable and impossible for any kind of economic growth or standard of living we are accustomed to or that we can exist under. 80% of Debt to GDP ratio is a 3rd World Nation or Banana Republic type of ratio. Another worrisome fact is what isn't included or mentioned in these deficits; that would be our entitlement programs; Social Security and Medicare. These aren't included in these figures and we know that they will be insolvent and draining the Treasury unless action is taken between now and the next 5 years or so to solve the huge increase in expenditures when the large body of Baby Boomer's start drawing down benefits. "President Bush has presided over a loss of more than 3 million jobs and a $9 trillion decline in our nation's fiscal health -- from the $5.6 trillion surplus he inherited from President Clinton to a $3.5 trillion and growing deficit today. The deficits that the CBO predicts for the next two years are the largest in history, and the forecast makes clear that they are not going away.

"Where does it end? The President does not have a plan to bring the budget back into balance. He continues to promote tax cuts for the wealthy that we cannot afford, sticking our children with the bill. Every penny he adds to the debt, our children will have to repay with interest.

Nancy Pelosi was mostly right then. She makes the Democrat often repeated falsehood of citing a non-existent Clinton Budget surplus as though this projected surplus of the out years in Clinton's budget like it was sitting in the Treasury. It never existed because that projection never forecast what the nation suffered with the Dot.Com collapse in 2000 thereby wiping out 3 Trillion in wealth. Bush, like Obama also inherited a recession and budget/spending outlays of a predecessor to contend with. He accepted the responsibility and led. Then came 9/11. How quickly we forget the layoffs and economic upheaval of every sector of our economy? People stopped traveling, buying cars, and business responded with huge layoffs and cutbacks. Bush found himself engaged in a Worldwide War on Terror with an enemy that had challenged us on our own soil in a way we had never experienced in our History.
Yes, he spent to engage the enemy, whenever and wherever necessary. He spent to bolster our safety and security right here at home.

In many respects with 9/11 and the horror of that attack freshly seared into America's psyche and the uncertainty of what else would come after it, Bush had greater challenges to face than Obama.

The difference was how he solved the challenges and bombshells dropped on his economy. He slashed the tax rates for every American across the board. And he unleashed the Economic engine of our Private sector, Corporations, Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs. He unshackled the indomitable spirit of Americans to do what they always have done, rise to a challenge. And it worked. He added millions of new jobs, and saved millions more. His policies generated terrific revenue increases and personal/governmental wealth generation and economic growth.

Bush fell down when it came to spending restraint. He failed to cut or hold non-war/security related spending in line. In that respect he failed miserably against the fiscal Conservatism that his party and Conservatives have always stood for. His Congress controlled by Republicans were no better putting budgets laden with pork and earmarks before his pen. But even on Bush's worst day, he will never be as good as Obama, Pelosi, Reid and Geithner when it comes to spending. In just two months of this Coalition of the Clueless, led by Obama, they have put more spending and deficits on the books on the way to the tune of 12.5 Trillion than George W. Bush did in his entire 8 years of his Presidency. Bush was in full- blown War mode footing at the time.

Yet today the budget deficits and spending Pelosi criticized when not Speaker, are now all of the sudden okay? They are O.K. evidently only if they are TRIPLE or QUADRUPLE what Bush had done? Pelosi ignores truth now for her political agendas expediency because she is intoxicated with power. Her statement above shows what a liar she and her party have become. They have one goal in mind to achieve and it is obvious they intend to do so at any and all costs; to make Government the central authority and provider in American lives. Socialization of our Economic, Business,Governmental, Social, Health, Energy, Environmental and Entitlement arenas are their ultimate goal of attainment. They are well on their way to stripping us of our liberty with a tyranny of lunacy unless Americans wake up and stop it cold.

The AIG Bonus Furor: The Trojan Horse Hiding The Real News Of The Day

Okay folks, my first blog posting since the election required me to get the Irish up enough to want to start hammering away on the keyboard again. ENOUGH OF THIS CRAZINESS. I haven't posted one thing about what happened Nov. 4th, but I have to speak out now and we all need to start waking the hell up, before it's too late. If we all keep passively ignoring the incompetency around us, all their actions will ruin us before it can be stopped or reversed. They must hear our voices and feel the anger and wrath at what they are doing to our national security, wealth, and the economic future for not just our own generation but also the future of our children and grandchildren. What's the "Trill" for? Not a new yearly budget bill, or anything like that. No, this isn't a new Government "Stimulus" Bill, or another Bailout for a Bank, Auto Maker, Fannie Mae, Freddy Mac, AIG or any other bailout that would need even the most perfunctory and useless of the usual 12 to 24 hour period of superficial debate performed by this Congress with a few Presidential Town Hall meetings thrown in. Nope, this even slipped in under their normal "Fast Track" bill factory process and system they have perfected for scaring the living hell out of us stupid goober Americans into supporting this bill, or that tax, or else the Nation will collapse-- most likely tomorrow if it isn't passed today!!!! No, this one went through quietly, just like the IOU's that were first slipped in when our Government raided the Social Security Trust Fund starting the precedent to finance our regular budgetary outlays with S.S. trust fund reserves.

So here is the bottom line in summary. The U.S. Government, just turned on the printing presses and like that printed ONE TRILLION Dollars of really nothing more than MONOPOLY money, backed by the very toxic mortgage and bank securities the Treasury now owns, purchasing them from U.S. Banks and Holders with similarly acquired TARP funds and will use the "fresh" currency just printed to buy it's "own" debt with it.

Got that? Obama and his Treasury Secretary took it from their left hand, wrote, IOU but when the government writes IOU's to send to the world, it's "We the American People" and sent it to the Federal Reserve printing department to chug out a Trillion Dollars in U.S. Currency in return for that valueless IOU. And some said that Tim Geithner isn't smart enough to do his own taxes with Turbo Tax. This is a huge crap shoot. And they are betting with your Social Security, Private retirement accounts, savings, trust funds, home, real property, and all your personal possessions; that it will work. It never has before, not in pre-Hitler Germany, not in Banana Republics; not ever.

I have said for about 3-4 months, when the full faith and confidence of the world is lost in the U.S. Dollar and our Credit, we have nothing left. Did you know that China's Premier 5 days ago publicly expressed worry in the value of it's U.S. Investments? I think he has cause for concern. Of the Peoples Republic of China's total financial reserves of Gold, precious gems, metals, International securities (Stocks, Bonds, Deutschmarks, Euro's, Yen, Dollars, and U.S. TREASURY NOTES) Our U.S. Treasury notes, bonds and U.S. Dollar/Treasury backed instruments make up about 70% of China's total financial reserves. What do you think will happen when China perceives a lack of value and loses confidence in these instruments of investment? Pick the scenario you think most likely to occur. A. They won't buy them from us anymore? B. They will dump them on the world market for pennies on the "dollar". C. They will call in the notes to be paid with marketable world currency or demand Fort Knox Gold reserves be tendered? D. Settle some of the debt for the island they call Formosa and we call Taiwan? Or maybe E. All of the above.

Then, to top it off. The same day, our Congressional Budget Office releases a report and correction of the "just crammed through" budget/stimulus bill deficit analysis. The ink was barely dry on this budget buster bill and already it's over budget? It seems not only were those Democrat allowed bonuses to AIG employees in the bill they didn't want anyone to read, but some Fuzzy math was too. It seems that in the process of putting the accounting together, Obama and Congress were a just a tad off on the figures. CBO says the budget deficit for the decade this spending and stimulus bill covers will raise the deficit likely TWO Trillion more dollars than the lower "hopeful" estimates provided by the Administration. And, this doesn't take into effect the ambitions in the new annual budget they are working on promoting his new Education initiatives and Health Care Program, Cap and Trade regulations, and so forth. Nope, with what has only been passed to date by this Congress and signed by this President, this will "change" upward dramatically the deficit and total spending outlays with interest and so forth on the total cost of the bills and new spending programs, according to the CBO.

We must stop this madness. Share this with your friends and family. It doesn't matter what party we think we are in, it's about America and the future of our nation and world. We will all be equally destitute with our wheelbarrow full of Monopoly money in line at the government bread center for our weekly loaf if we don't demand CHANGE in the course and path we are on. This Congress, with this President have spent their way to a bigger budget deficit in just two months, than Bush did for the entire eight years of his Presidency. It seems crazy now that we Republicans were furious at how big a spender Bush was! He was a fiscal Conservative by today's standard. We have to stop them from doing any more damage now. CONTACT your Legislators and tell them in NO UNCERTAIN terms what your vote will be in 2 years if this recklessness continues.

Obama/Khalidi Tape Story spiked by LA Times

Here is a copy of my emailed letter to the LA Times about their refusal to release a video tape of Obama, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn and Rashid Khalidi at a big, warm, Chicago elite send-off party for Khalidi to his new post in N.Y. City. It was quite the party by all accounts, terrorists galore, hard-core, soft-core, International, and Domestic there to toast and wish well the man of honor...... the King-size poster boy and apologist for Palestinian terror and the Anti-Semite extraordinaire; Mr. Rashid Khalidi!

I wonder why Barack Hussein Obama was there? What did he have to say there? What did he do? I sure wish I could see and hear his toast to the departing terrorist sympathizer and former spokesman for Yasser Arafat. But I can't. You can't either. The LA Times has decided to withhold and suppress the tape, effectively "spiking" the story to Obama's benefit.

My emailed letter to LA Times:

By suppressing the Obama-Khalidi tape and effectively attempting to "Spike" this story to favor Obama, you have exposed your agenda as propagandists for Obama and the Democratic party. This election marks the beginning of the end for the LameStream media. Withholding vital information from Americans. Selectively determining newsworthiness based upon your own agenda. This is just the latest in a pattern during the final days of election 2008. Ignoring stories like the possibility that Obama is an ineligible, foreign-born citizen about to thrust the nation into a horrific Constitutional Crisis at worst, and the fact that he is dodging and withholding information and lawsuits requiring him to prove his status by sealing all his birth, medical, and college records. Just his lack of openness, transparency, and candor about his past is a story worthy of examination yet seems of no concern to the "new" LameStream media of America.

I noticed how the media have given a free pass with their silent acquiescence when Obama/ Pelosi/Democrats repeatedly blamed Bush-McCain-Republicans and Wall Street Greed, and "lack of regulations" etc. for the financial crisis- when the clear facts show the Bush Administration, Treas. Sec. Snow, Greenspan , McCain and Republicans predicted what would happen without reforms and greater regulations on the Fannie and Freddie GSE's that were the trip-wire leading to the full meltdown. The warnings were clear and loud starting by Bush in 2001, reiterated by Treas Sec. Snow in 2002, Greenspan in 2002, and Republican Congressional and Senate leadership in 2004 and argued on the Senate Floor in 2005/2006 by McCain and other Senate Republicans, and a few concerned Democrats, like Lieberman. The rest of the Democrats, led by Frank, Pelosi, Waters, Meeks, Schumer, Dodd, and Barack Obama blocked, thwarted, fought, opposed, and stymied any and all efforts to reform, regulate or shore up the GSE's, even with the clear and unmistakable evidence of massive fraud, mismanagement, and abuses; because they were effectively bought and paid-for lobbyists on the payroll for the GSE's.

America's media have watched, and allowed without a challenge via their silence as those responsible for our economic collapse, the Democrats and their leadership, transfer and affix the blame on the innocent party and players- perhaps winning an election because they were able to get away with it. Scot Free. Now that is a real-life and true story of fraud and bearing false witness on a Biblical scale! The new "Greatest Story Never Told". I am glad Charlton Heston isn't alive to see this version.

But thanks to your inquisitive minds and critical nose for the hard news.... I now know that Sarah Palin has a spiffy new wardrobe, and her husband Todd Palin had a DUI 22 years ago. Thankfully, we Americans don't have to worry about those minor issues facing Obama, issues like video of him hob-nobbing with anti-Semite terrorists, with domestic terrorists that he publicly stated prior to this tapes existence, were characterized as informally casual and distant, obviously a lie. Well thanks, I won't need to lose sleep over the unresolved questions about his US Citizenship, and the like as you have already vetted their lack of consequence for us by filtering anything that may damage our views of your anointed one.

America's media is fast becoming irrelevant because Americans have to find what they should be providing elsewhere. How is your circulation doing lately at the LA Times?
I am sure the NY Times can't accept the reality that their declining subscriber base and recent Bond rating status to "junk" are inextricably linked to the public perception and determination of their failing trustworthiness, objectivity, and relevance.

Federal Judge dismisses the Foreign Citizenship lawsuit against Obama - Is the fix in?

Here is the latest in the continuing saga of my previous article from October 23, 2008 asking the crucial question: Is Obama not a U.S. Citizen? He Refuses to Answer Federal Lawsuit to Remove him from Ballot

The judge in the case of Berg v. Obama at 6:35 PM on Friday the 24th, (what better time to for the judge to avoid any attention than a late Friday evening weekend decision and press release that would lead to the HUGE coverage like this big 4 paragraph "story" by the MSM and Associated Press) dismissed the case against Obama and the Democratic National Committee (DNC). U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick's reasoning was primarily that Philip J. Berg esq. as Plaintiff didn't have "standing." Which in attorney-speak means he failed to prove or show how he would be "harmed" i.e. where the typical criteria in Civil Lawsuits is to show monetary harm to the plaintiff. Berg didn't cite any specific numerical dollar amount nor did he seek any; he asked simply for injunctive and restraining relief vs. Obama and the DNC.

Berg v. Obama's remedy required Obama and the DNC to simply prove Obama's citizenship and eligibility to be POTUS. If you can't (or won't) the judge had to order you off the ballot as a candidate for POTUS and the DNC must substitute a qualified candidate in all 50 states. Then, if shown to be ineligible as candidate for POTUS the judge would further rule on whether Sen. Obama meets the standards laid out for his currently held elective office and any criminal fraud referrals subsequent to illegal actions. Here is why I think the judge is so wrong on the issue of "standing". There are many instances where civil suits provide redress for Defamation and Slander that have no monetary relevance. An example would be the harm to your character, reputation, or public standing in a community by someones actions that are defaming or libelous, it's not always measurable solely as a tangible dollar amount.

Berg, evidently didn't impress upon the judge with his "standing" as a U.S. citizen, life-long 30+ year Democratic Party member, former Deputy Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Democratic candidate in Pennsylvania for Governor and U.S. Senate, and as a currently licensed and practicing Attorney sworn to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution; that he had no standing or would be harmed significantly enough by the actions of an unraveled political party, political system, and national crisis ensured with a fraudulent candidate perhaps winning election as POTUS. For Gods sakes if he has no standing, what chance do we average citizens have?

The judge actually decided he wouldn't be harmed and lacked standing? Excuse me? Easily a point of contention on appeal to the Supreme Court of the U.S. in my humble albeit common-sense based opinion. Really, who could accurately predict how much unfathomable economic "harm" or mayhem would befall the nation when it is thrust into virtual civil war or civil unrest of an unprecedented scale when Obama supporters fail to appreciate why after being elected; he would not be allowed to become President? Just think back to L.A. a couple decades ago and how the Rodney King verdict was received. Now apply a multiplication factor to that across our nation? What would it be, 10x, 20x, or even hundreds of times worse? Particularly given the fact that our American Media have done such a superlative job of avoiding this story nor reporting the existence of these lawsuits. No examination in-depth of the possibility that Obama is not eligible to be POTUS has been performed by the MSM. If he loses, this will appear not as a Constitutional mandate, but will be perceived by the masses as a blind-side sucker punch coming out of nowhere from Right field. The ensuing rage of incorrectly perceived injustice will make the American Media culpable and responsible for the severity of the reaction by way of their insistence to keep most Americans unaware of this story.

Could this be the "Crisis" that Joe Biden said "mark my words it will happen" and would fall upon Barack Obama shortly after he takes office? We all just assumed the action or test to be of an International or Terrorist nature from abroad. But what if this potential Constitutional crisis is what Joe inferred? Uncle Joe then went on to explain as he asked Obama supporters in Seattle that they would 'need to stand by Obama when it appears he did the wrong thing'?

The judge in Berg v. Obama was gutless and vapid. He further reasoned that it would be up to Congress and the Government to verify and determine presidential eligibility so he reasoned that Berg didn't have "standing" in that regard either. A completely ignorant basis for that decision as every third grader should know the Political parties have always been responsible for selecting and putting forth candidates and with that they should be qualified and "vetted" candidates for political office, on the local, state and Federal level. The Government does not choose who our candidates are going to be; we the people choose. As Berg stated, we are a government by the People, for the People. If we the people do not have "standing"; then we are not America any longer.

Berg released this Press Release, promising to take the appeal of his case now directly to the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
Given the judges own comments in his argument to dismiss, the best hope is with the suits that are filed with the states and the Attorney Generals that have the "governmental responsibility" for determining the eligibility of candidates on the ballots.

Also, in other suit news regarding Obama's citizenship status lawsuits, the judge in Hawaii a few weeks ago ruled on granting a hearing for an out of state citizens' lawsuit filed under the FOI (Freedom of Information Act) by Andrew Martin demanding Hawaii officials must make any of the "sealed" records or official documents (or confirm the lack thereof) relating to Obama's birth and hospital records available. The suit had asked for immediate access, or in any event not later than before the election. The judge granted them the hearing date and access to the documents, but after the election for Nov. 7th. Progress! Although it's a belated victory with the post-election date for release of documents; it is a victory for the right of access to information that Americans have a right to know about.

Wait a minute..hold on now.....they can't have any of that! On October 22nd, the defendants (State of Hawaii) appealed the lower judges ruling to the Hawaii Supreme Court. Why would they appeal a lower judges ruling about Obama's birth records? What do they care that in the judges view the request was a legitimate and lawful request for information in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOI)? The Hawaii Supreme Court reviewd and reversed the lower courts ruling and have blocked the FOI request and the Obama birth records will remain sealed unless presumably ordered by the Supreme Court of the U.S. should Berg's appeal to the Supreme Court be heard, and is successful.

Could the Fix be in with the Democratic powers-that-be of Hawaii? This all occurs just when Obama is coincidentally traveling there to visit his reportedly ailing Grandmother just a day or two of the Hawaii Supreme Court decision? It sure doesn't pass the smell test to me. Just how powerful is the Democratic party in Hawaii? Local political experts predict that after the election Nov. 4th, the Hawaii State Senate will include only 2 Republicans in it's 25 member body. The Hawaii House of Representatives will number only 7 or 8 in it's 51 seat chamber. The total legislative Republican representation is about 10 of 76 elected seats. While it is true that the Governor of Hawaii is a Republican, she governs a state where effectively the entire state and local governments and bureaucracies are under Democrat control and power. Virtually all the judicial appointees have been made within this systemic domination after so many decades of this political monopoly.

Hey Sen. Obama, why are you hiding behind all these judges, lawyers, and legal tactics? All we concerned and doubting Americans want is one thing; the same thing that we all have to provide now just to visit Mexico, or Canada. Provide the legitimate proof required of your natural born citizenship and therefore eligibility to run for President of the United States of America. Why is this so hard? Why put the nation through the doubt, uncertainty and angst?

I am left with only one conclusion. Because you can't prove it. You aren't the qualified natural born citizen as stipulated by Article II of the U.S. Constitution; if you were you would have proved it to us already.

Barack Hussein Obama the time has come to put up or stand down. This nation c a n n o t survive a Constitutional Crisis of this magnitude should it come to that, especially on the heels of our current financial crisis. For the welfare of this nation you need to respond, reveal and prove; not obfuscate, ignore, delay, dismiss, hide or block any longer. Prove your legitimacy. Act like a President even if it is learned you aren't qualified to be one; and put America and Americans first.

For the sake of America and the sanctity of our Constitution; prove it, or end it.

Now here is an "October Surprise"! Is Barack Hussein Obama not an eligible candidate for President of the United Status of America? The surprise comes in the form of a lawsuit filed by a lifelong Democrat Philip J. Berg Esquire, in Pennsylvania. In this lawsuit he alleges just that. Is Obama a Kenyan, or Indonesian citizen and therefore ineligible under Article II of the U.S. Constitution to run for POTUS (President of the United States)? If true this would be the greatest Constitutional crisis in our history, and raises the serious ramifications for a violent scenario should Obama supporters not accept or appreciate the legally required dismissal of his Presidency as a result of Constitutional eligibility disqualification.

Should this occur, the resultant violence and mayhem would be on the hands of Barack Hussein Obama and Howard Dean of the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Party et al. by their failure to respond to the lawsuit filed back on August 21, 2008 before they "certified" and nominated Obama as their candidate, or even later up to and beyond the time of the election. I had heard of controversy about Obama possibly being foreign-born and perhaps not even a legal US Citizen. Initially, I dismissed these claims without any review like most Americans as being outlandish and impossible accusations by conspiracy theory whacko's wearing tin-foil hats and hiding from Black helicopters. Surely he couldn't have come this far, and missed the media scrutiny that would have confirmed his eligibility, right?

But wait.... I recently asked myself with America's media so in the tank for Obama that they can't even report the evident truths on a myriad array of issues, like his connections with left-wing radical terrorists, or his associations with ACORN and his funding for their voter fraud activities, or their inability to report the factual truth as to how Obama and the Democrats enabled and protected Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into their economic collapse-- only then to lay the blame on Bush, McCain, Republicans and any other innocent party; perhaps the MSM (main stream media) have buried this issue as well? So, I decided to scratch the surface and look further into these rumors and suggestions of his foreign citizenship.

Well folks, this is the new Greatest Story Never Told by our MSM. I did some scratching which then led to excavation and what I have learned is of great cause for concern. I have found these sources of information to be quite credible and the questions they raise to be very serious and disturbing for all Americans interested in the sanctity and rule of law entrusted to our Constitution.

Did you know there is currently a lawsuit filed against Barack Obama to provide legally recognized original birth documents proving his citizenship that was filed since before the Democratic National Convention, or for more than a month and a half? Did you know Obama and the Democratic National Committee who are named in the Federal lawsuit have refused and resisted all efforts to produce these documents or respond to the allegations of the complaint? The man filing the lawsuit is a prominent attorney named Philip J. Berg Esquire, an American Patriot and a lifelong Democrat who is a former Deputy Attorney General in Pennsylvania and has run for office in Pennsylvania for Governor and a U.S. Senate seat- as a Democrat. Yes, that is the same organization as the Annenberg Challenge "Charity" that Obama served as the Board Chairman of just a few years back with his good pal William "The Terrorist" Ayers where together they doled out over $50,000,000.00 million dollars to their "worthy recipients" like ACORN and Obama's own Trinity Church of Christ headed by his America-hating Rev. Jeremiah "God Damn America" Wright.

Did you know that Obama's sisters and Kenyan relatives have provided inconsistent answers about the hospital(s) where Obama was born, and some family relatives including his paternal Grandmother claimed that they witnessed his birth in Mobasa Kenya? Did you know that experts state that under constitutional standards because only Barack's mother was an American citizen and his father was Kenyan, even if he proved he was born in Hawaii because both parents weren't Natural born U.S. citizens; the requirement for his mothers age at time of birth had to be 21 years of age for his eligibility? She was only 18.

UPDATE: Over the weekend Oct. 17th-19th, I personally copied the JPEG image of the COL "Certificate of Live Birth" Obama presents on his "fightthesmears.com" section of Obama's own website. I then used a photo editor program called IRFAN view and did my own HEX editor view of the document to verify his result. Right at the top are the words ADOBE which indicates it's edit history was with ADOBE software, there are obvious alterations in the HEX view editor that shows Black squares similar to what video 2 below shows. Because he used ADOBE Photoshop to analyze perhaps he got more edit information than my simple freeware program showed. I am no expert, but I am not convinced this document is beyond reproach. We need the original Hospital long form birth record, required in Berg's lawsuit; not some document provided on an affiliated Obama linked organization's website.

Certaninly the consequences of these allegations being found correct after the election would be horrific. Obama and the DNC (Democratic National Committee) must expedite and cooperate in answering the allegations of the suit, ignoring and delaying this is not acceptable 13 days prior to the election; simply comply with the requested standards and put it to rest. For the sake of America and our Constitution.

It's twelve days before the election, now ask yourself, why haven't we heard about any of this in our National print or television main stream media? We may be on the verge of being duped into electing a foreign national as our President of the United States of America. The greatest fraud in our history may be perpetrated on this nation by Obama and the DNC and Democrat Party leading to a Constitutional crisis that would lead to Civil War-like consequences.

So, what do you see? This morning after already two days of coverage--- there on the front page of the Seattle Post Intelligencer newspaper, is a story on the "controversy" about the McCain-Palin Campaign purchasing a wardrobe for Palin and her family- with funds from people who were happy to contribute to their election; not taxpayer funds.

Hey American media, with 12 days to the election how about an investigative story on the possibility of Obama being a Foreign National? Or more evidence of the true nature of Bill Ayers as an avowed communist, and terrorist being his political patron and sponsor? Report the truth that his claims of Bush and Republican policies causing the financial meltdown are patently false, and the FACT that Obama and the Democrats caused the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac failures and the economic Tsunami that followed?

I guess the media has Palin's wardrobe as a higher priority for America. God Help us. If they won't report this lawsuit and Obama's and the DNC's actions, or more accurately inactions in regards to the critical issues it puts forth. We Americans must get the word out. Prior to the Democrats taking the majority in the House and Senate races of 2006 the Republicans held hearings into fraud and problems at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that regulators had discovered after concerns were raised by Bush and House and Senate Republicans. John McCain amongst other Republican lawmakers sponsored new tougher legislation to provide new reforms, stronger new regulatory oversight and changes to ensure their financial solvency and strength. They tried to get bipartisan support with Democrats to make these changes and pass these laws. McCain and others were blocked, stymied, ridiculed and berated by Democrats that opposed them vehemently at every turn. (as you will see so clearly see and hear in the demeanor and shrill tone of the Democrats protecting their beloved Fannie and Freddie Gravy-Train) Republicans didn't have enough of a majority to pass the legislation and reforms and there weren't enough Democrats in the House and Senate willing to cross the aisle and join the Republicans to enact these clearly needed and necessary reforms of the GSE's. The only thing McCain and Republicans were able to accomplish was to force Franklin Raines out as CEO in light of his mismanagement and fraudulent practices. They were also unable to get Democrats to help them pursue Justice Department criminal proceedings against Raine's for his actions. Raine's received a wrist-slap in a settlement in 2008 for the civil case filed by the oversight government agency. Following that settlement with some paltry fines (paid out mostly from his insurance policies). Then after that Fannie (remember these are government owned- taxpayer supported quasi-government/private corporations) had to pay out a $400 million dollar fine for his actions at the helm to the Securities and Exchange Commission. If the Democrats now had the stomach to pursue criminal charges against Raine's and others like him, (McCain promised publicly on Thursday he will pursue criminal charges for those responsible when he is elected) he would be easy to find- just contact the Obama campaign that has turned to him as an adviser for housing, financial and mortgage issues. (The Obama campaign claims Raine's doesn't work for the campaign- he's not paid. No, so he is simply an "unpaid" adviser?/ Oh...Okey doke, I feel much better now don't you? Nice of him to "donate" his expertise to Obama because of the the $50 million plus he "earned" in his years at Fannie afford him the luxury to help out at no charge.

During these hearings Democrats provide all the evidence with their own words against themselves and showing what liars they are in full living color about who is really responsible for our economic collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. These GSE's (Government Sponsored Enterprise) Mortgage Companies that started this meltdown and chain reaction and Domino effect we are experiencing with banks and the stock market as a result. Watch Congressional Democrats as they try to dismiss and discount the criminal fraud and problems the regulators discovered. They then go on the offensive using their power to crucify, intimidate, berate, and impugn the integrity and motives of diligent and competent public servants doing their part to protect Americans and taxpayers. Wait a minute, isn't that what the Legislators are sworn to do as elected officials? They lay into these oversight regulators and accountants testifying under oath about the impending doom their reports have revealed and the documented criminal fraud within the Companies (accounting fraud discoveries like meeting loan origination percentage target goals that if met paid multi-million dollar bonuses to Frank Raines, the CEO, and were met to the exact penny so he got his bonuses) and their calls for action to regulate and make immediate changes to prevent collapse. The Democrat protectors were will have NONE of it. The alarmists and those calling for increased oversight, strong reforms and more powerful and effective regulation-- are all the Republicans.

The November 2006 elections bring the Democrats control of the the House and Senate and with it they take over control of the oversight of Fannie and Freddie. The White House does not have oversight authority over these GSE organizations; the House and Senate do. It is irrefutably documented that Bush and then Treasury Secretary Snow strongly pushed for investigations, reforms, and oversight with Congress into these entities, as early as 2001 but they could only request, and advise the Congress- it was up to Congress to act. Republicans tried when they were in charge, but were thwarted and blocked at every turn by the Democrats who because of the narrow margin of their majority and Democratic solidarity on their party-line votes.

The Democrats won control of the House and Senate in 2006 with great financial help from Fannie and Freddie political contributions that were most generous. In fact these GSE's converted Congressman and Senators like Barney Frank, Barack Obama and Christopher Dodd, and the entire Congressional Black Caucus into paid lobbyists for their agenda with their contributions, effectively converting our Democratic party lawmakers into their full-time paid lobbyists and as the new CEO of Fannie Mae said, "members of the family". That massive Fannie and Freddie money was clearly well spent to help them defeat and rid them of their troublesome Republican tormentors -- we were all doomed as soon as Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid grabbed their gavels and announced 'the beginning of a new era of accountability, an end to Republican corruption and their Lobbyist friends, and the end of Republican's lack of bipartisan cooperation in government'. It was like all those bad things never happened, and starting that day it just magically all went away...........until now when it couldn't be hidden any longer. All the statements and the warnings offered by the Republicans predicted precisely what we are watching occur now in real time.

September 2008, Republican lawmakers who predicted and tried to stop this meltdown years ago are forced into joining with Bush and the Democrat criminal perpetrators of this debacle to support an Economic Recovery Plan costing nearly One Trillion Dollars without any real recourse. What was their choice? To shut off the water from the hydrant and let our nation's economy and citizens lives burn to the ground? The first sentence will go something like this...The Democrats have opened hearings on Capitol Hill to affirm the solvency and soundness of the National Health Care Insurance Corporation, Social Security and Medicare Trust funds against charges and concerns by Republicans of a massive coverup and impending totality of collapse......

They will hold all power with the House, Senate, and Presidency...with Obama's two new Supreme Court Appointee's and their favorable decisions they have no fear of court interference as they transform our Republic with opinions that show the enlightened flexibility of the modern interpretation of our Constitution. The hearings are being held in Congress with prodding from those few pesky Republican Congressman and their constituents' massive calls and letters about the impending and total collapse of our new GSE, The National Health Care Insurance Corporation with reports of it's insolvency by Government regulators and investigators and also on the crisis to our Social Security and Medicare trust funds that the Democrats borrowed from to shore up the new NHCIC leading to the massive tax and Social Security tax increases they rammed through both chambers using their super-majority for President Obama's prompt signature. This was to date the largest bail-out in American history at Three Trillion dollars for NHCIC and with an as yet undetermined amount for the Social Security Funds that experts predict could be more than double the NHCIC final bailout.

Hey don't read this or watch the video's that are linked if you don't think you want to know, or want the truth. Just delete it. If you want to go beyond the sound bites and spin and have the courage to learn the truth, then read on and watch the videos.

Can we Americans handle the truth? Can the mainstream media (Fox News excepted) do their job and find the truth? Hell no. They for the most part just promote and play the Democrat and Obama accusations of blame without any verification, fact-checking or questioning if the Democrats could in fact be guilty in whole or even part. Barack stated in the debate and numerous times during the campaign that he sounded the alarm in a letter to the Treasury Secretary about "predatory lending and sub-prime mortages" as though he wanted to reign in Fannie and Freddie. This is a missrepresentation of his real position and motive of his letter. His concern was about the higher interest and points charged to low income and minority borrowers by lenders to responsibly price for the higher risk in granting a loan, which arguably shouldn't have even been made at the existing rates and standards as it was. Obama's focus and intent was to pressure them to lower the rates and points, thereby forcing lenders to lower credit standards, and not insulate risk through pricing of interest that is the first rule in banking. This is the very thing that exacerbated and magnified this mess. He didn't dare poke at Fannie or Freddie because he was their number 2 man for contributions, and his campaign was the top employer of fired CEO's and Board members from these quasi governmental mortage buyers.

Because the media in America haven't reported the truth Americans have incorrectly pinned responsibility on the mostly if not competely innocent parties like Bush and McCain and may just elect those who are actually responsible. Obama is climbing in the polls because of his unjust and unwarranted lies in pinning blame by capitalizing on the hatred of Bush and Cheney that the Democrat party and Left have fomented and cultivated for 8 years into the pinnacle of cynicism we are at now. They have chosen well to strategically unleash it in an orgy of opportunism 4 weeks before the election to push themselves to complete power. They are "banking" that before the truth comes out they will be in power. As the guilty party they will find great solace in the fact that they were able to gull the willing dupes of America into giving them the reigns to full control of our nation, economy and future well being by holding the House, Senate, and White House.

Remember in 2006 McCain co-sponsored the bill to reform Fannie, Freddie and spelled out what was coming if the bi-partisan reforms and regulatory action wasn't enacted. Sarah Palin is right on target about Obama and Terrorist Pals like Bill Ayers

Sarah Palin took off the gloves recently about Obama's association with known Leftists/Terrorists including William "Bill" Ayers. Now as a result of her allegations the mainstream media is finally forced to do something they are loathe to do... journalistic investigation into a Liberal they are trying to get elected. Oh the Horror! In a rare moment of real journalism CNN actually takes the Obama camp to task and confirms Palin's claims as to the depth of the coziness in Obama's ties to the radical leftist self-proclaimed little "c" communist terrorist, William Ayers. The standard Obama campaign response line is basically something like 'he doesn't approve or condone any of Ayers previous activities or statements; activities that occurred when Obama was just a young boy'. This response is banal at best, like suggesting that this nice old man you been hanging around with in Cambodia named Pol Pot and whose previous actions were known to you but is a decent guy now. Besides I was only 8 years old when he did those bad things that I don't approve of.

So who is William Ayers, his wife Bernadine Dohrn and these friends/political patrons of Barack Hussein Obama? Ayers is now a professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, holding the "honor" of Distinguished Professor. Ayers was a founder and member of the violent and radical anti-war communist terror group The Weather Underground. The WU formed in the late 60's and early 70's under the premise of direct and violent action against the United States Government under their declaration of war (made by Ayers wife, Bonnie Dohrn). Ayers/Dohrn participated in terrorist bombings of a N.Y.P.D. police precinct, the Pentagon, and many other targets including homes of private individuals they considered enemies and put on their hit lists. Their organization killed many people, Ayers and Dohrn even raised a child as their own of a convicted murderer of four NY Policeman/Brinks guards during the N.Y. City Brinks Armored Car heist. Ayers and Dohrn escaped justice for bombing the Police Precinct, Pentagon, Capitol Building and multiple murders and robberies because of a procedural error in obtaining a wire-tap surveillance warrant and the Justice Departments case was thrown out by a liberal weenie judge on a technicality providing him, his wife, and others with double-jeopardy protection. This has enabled his brazen admissions and arrogance of unrepentant pride in their public promotion and acknowledgment of their complicity in these acts.

The day after the 9/11 attacks (evidently it brought back fond memories and feelings) Ayers was quoted by the New York Times in an interview released Sept. 11, 2001, "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough." He posed for a photograph accompanying the piece that shows him stepping on an American flag (shown above).

Obama lived in the same neighborhood as Ayers in Chicago. Ayers hosted Obama for a vacating State Senate seat for a political coming out party in 1995 at the Ayers home just a few months after Ayers recruited and placed Obama as Chairman on his Annenberg Challenge board. At this time Obama secured Ayers endorsement (Ayers was a supporter of the socialist leftist fusion effort of "The New Party" and gave Barack his endorsement when he agreed to accept the New Party Agenda)for State Senator. Ayers' terrorist wife Bernadine Dohrn (quoted on the Manson Murders of Sharon Tate: "Dig It. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!") worked together for many years with Michelle Obama at her law firm in Chicago. Barack was recuited by Bill Ayers to Chair the Board of Directors of the Annenberg Project in Chicago, an educational foundation espousing educational reforms with views and educational reforms promoted by Ayers to (brainwash) our children. They worked so well together that they teamed up on the board of the Wood Foundation; don't forget these are paid board positions. To suggest only a casual acquaintance relationship as the Obama campaign contends given at least the 20 times on record that they met for board activities for the Annenberg Challenge alone in sessions where Ayers secured grants were doled out by Obama in the tens of millions of dollars. Grants that went to worthy Obama and Ayers recipients including Obama's own Reverend the "Angry" Jeremiah Wright at the Trinity Church of Christ, Father Pfleger and other America-hating radicals who worked on legislation, grants, and Democrat/"New Party" party business in his Senate District. For Obama to minimize and suggest a lightweight and casual acquaintance between Obama and Ayers as the Obama campaign has promoted; is an outright lie.

Why is who Obama pals around with germane and relevant with so many issues facing this Nation and our Economic and National Security important? Judgment. Character. Core beliefs. Values.

If these America-hating terrorists are the people and politics that you associate with you represent their values and positions when you secure political patronage, support and funding from them. I believe it shows your real beliefs and privately held values that you hide beneath those you put out for public consumption and valuation. Two old sage metaphors are applicable here. Where there's smoke- theres fire. And..... You are the company you keep. Hopefully, Americans will not be duped by a liberal mainstream media enthralled by his messianic charm and their desire for affecting the outcome to the candidate of their favor.

Thanks go to Sarah Palin for having the Thatcher-like cojones to bring it to the forefront of the debate just who Obama's political patrons, associates and like-minded supporters are. Maybe now the mainstream media will actually grow a pair... and maybe McCain will be inspired with Sarah Palin's injection of fresh Conservative Testosterone into these late stages of this campaign.

Gravitas- Obama just doesn't have it.

During the 2000 Presidential Election the Liberal Media went to bat for their favorite son, Democrat Albert Gore Jr. was the beneficiary of the Main Stream Media's blistering assault on the GOP nominee George W. Bush in a plainly conspicuous adoption of the Democratic Party talking points made against George Bush's lack of experience on foreign policy in particular, and meaningful life and world experience in general. The liberal main stream media hacks tore the page right out of the DNC play book and went right to work even adopting a word to use. A word that actually became rote, trite and so over-used in the Liberal media's effort to sabotage Bush in the polls and ultimately knock him out for the election. That word was "Gravitas" the Microsoft Encarta dictionary defines this latin word as: (- seriousness of behavior: a serious and solemn attitude or way of behaving or being of weight and consequence). This word was repeated over and over constantly for several weeks by the Broadcast and print MSM to reference Bush, and his Gravitas deficiency vs. the worldly and capable Al Gore.

This word was used so much in 2000 against Bush, and Americans were so sick of hearing it that it went out of common American usage and drifted into the obscurity until some future date when the DNC could launch it again upon the illiterate un-washed masses of dopey Red-State Americans who wouldn't know how to interpret it other than to attribute it's application and usage on Bush as being some serious and negative thing so dire in it's connotation; much like the ignorant stigma attached to the evil-sounding word Neo-Con.

But hey if a word fits in 2008, use it. I say it is high time the word is dusted off and put back into common American usage, and once again in the Political arena: this time to correctly portray a candidate who is truly sadly lacking.

Gravitas deficient. Barack Hussein Obama. They just seem to go together.

It is a word that is a perfect fit for the Democratic nominee. You see Americans just didn't swallow it for it's application that George W. Bush was lacking it in 2000. It didn't fit with a guy who created and ran several Oil Companies. It couldn't be applied to a nominee that saved, rejuvenated, and then very profitably sold a Major League Baseball Franchise. And, it certainly couldn't be applicable for a candidate that went on to defeat an incumbent Democrat Governor and then invigorated a huge state by unshackling a stifled Texas economy and replacing it with a thriving and growing economy larger than nearly half of the member National economies in the United Nations. Certainly it couldn't be used to accurately define George W. Bush in his solemn and serious responsibilities of deciding and signing crucial legislation or life and death pardons and death warrants.

American's saw through the silly attempt by the DNC and their MSM lackeys in the propaganda of the left in their effort to stick it on Bush. Unlike then, I think it is exactly what is festering in the back of American minds as they ponder what to do for President. Obama just doesn't have Gravitas. It is THE perfect word to describe what I have known for some time, and what I believe most American's are coming to realize now about the Democratic nominee; Barack Hussein Obama is an empty suit. Americans see it, especially now that he has the stage to himself. They see him in Forums and Town Hall meetings where your knowledge on the issues and the world are not hidden by prepared stump speeches and well managed photo ops. When he is put into these situations, he stutters, and struggles to find the right words, or thoughts. He is unsure and afraid that he may say the wrong thing, which to Barack seems to be anything that somebody might disagree with him on. So he says nothing,, nothing but platitudes about how we all need change and come together. This mirrors his history in the U.S. Senate and Illinois State Senate for his preference to vote "present" rather than take a stand.

Obama's Gravitas- where is it? What does it amount to? His depth of experience is as a Community Activist? A civil-rights lawyer and front man for radical organizations like the now defunct Marxist/Socialist "New Party" who would later become his friends, political patrons, and sponsors? Or as the legal defender and attorney for organizations like ACORN where he worked hard to defend their history and notorious reputation for voter fraud violations and crimes? As a back bencher in the Illinois Senate who formulated a decisive and courageous record of voting "present" more times than a definitive vote cast for "yea" or "nay"? Would his experience as a U.S. Senator provide the earnest depth for him to be worthy of the term? Well, maybe, but unlike most Senators, he has been more interested in running for an even higher office- than ever achieving, or accomplishing anything as a Senator to earn Gravitas in this capacity. Running for President may be an opportunity to earn Gravitas but in Tampa St. Petersburg a radical would-be Obama supporter took him to task by heckling him about not being engaged enough with the African/Latino community and issues. In this confrontation with a heckler Obama displayed a complete lack of Gravitas, stumbling, stuttering and stammering out some sort of response to a litany of offenses that he felt determined to convince this idiot that he Obama was REALLY on his side and very concerned about his plight and engaged in defending the record. It was as stupid as having a terrorist asking you what are you going to do to get my vote? I got problems, the government has cut back on my ability to get C4 and you haven't done anything about it... what are you going to do for me a terrorist to make my life better and easier? Then to legitimize the guys point and concerns by saying what you have done and will do to help him be a better terrorist, with the intent of garnering the vote with the pandering acceptance for the guys grievous concerns. If Obama can't handle this guy any better than to stammer, stutter and stumble at a Town Hall in Tampa St. Pete, how is he going to handle Putin when he invades the Ukraine, or when Mad Ahmed of Iran makes a move on Israel? Lack of Gravitas has consequences. Think hard and long about the Gravitas of McCain vs. Obama when you choose your leader America.

Is a lack of Gravitas also evidenced where you clinch your parties nomination and celebrate by going on a Worldwide Gravitas Acquisition tour to the Middle East and Europe? How is it that the 200,000 plus throngs of German's we saw on CNN and ABC see the Gravitas in Obama when we Americans see none of it? Are they really superior to us in their political appreciation of his greatness? Never fear, our American instincts about his fecklessness are justified!!! You see it could just be that all of our Main Stream Liberal Media sources like CNN, CBS, ABC, NY Times, etc. failed to share a simple and minor detail with American's. That little detail was that Obama's speech was sandwiched between two free concerts of the most popular rock and pop bands in Germany. So rest easy America, it was not European acumen that saw the Gravitas we Americans can't recognize filling a Soccer stadium up for Obama's speech. It certainly wasn't Gravitas that led him to make a decision to skip a visit with our wounded heroes in the Army hospital in favor of a Berlin shopping trip. Final result of the Obama Middle East/European Gravitas Acquisition tour? Z E R O. In fact, less than Zero. For his premature and forced quest for Gravitas, he went backwards, slipping to even or under McCain in the latest polls, at a time when historically the Democrat zooms to a lead at this point in the race. His only hope to stop the slide was to get out of Dodge and take a Hawaiian vacation. It seems when one is lacking in Gravitas, the best strategy is to not display the deficiency and keep out of sight, and shut your mouth.

But then disaster strikes. The Russians invade our ally Georgia over rogue breakaway provinces that Russia is trying to re-absorb into their borders. Obama is on vacation and issues a lightweight statement of neutrality calling on all parties to cease fighting and negotiate. This as Russian forces are dividing the country in half and pushing through Gori and heading toward the capital of Georgia proper. McCain came out forcefully, decisively and presidentially calling for the aggressor to stand down, remove forces or face American and European consequences in the European Union, and in future relations and security decisions. It could have been worse for Obama though. Luckily he had some advisor's that didn't let his press release out where he called for Russia to remove the troops around Atlanta and the ships blockading Savannah. OK, that is a joke, but it still probably gave you some pause as you question all his other examples of naiveties he has displayed in his quest for the worlds highest office. His call to unconditionally talk with Mad Ahmad of Iran. His desire to bomb Pakistani allies who walk a real tightrope being our allies in this War on Terror to get Taliban and Al Qaeda targets hiding there. His call to just leave Iraq two years ago and that Iraqi's would figure it out on their own by forcing their political reconciliation. Lets not forget of course his sage and expert opinion that the surge McCain was calling for at the time would lead to abject failure instead.

I do have to thank the Lib's for inundating me 8 years ago with the term Gravitas to the point where I would never forget it. I also wish to thank them for providing the perfect candidate to illustrate a real lack of Gravitas especially when compared to a candidate like John McCain where you will find his picture, right there in the dictionary when you look up Gravitas....as an example of someone with Gravitas.

Dear John,

You only have my vote for now. I will not donate any of my treasure, talents or labor until you have:

1. Demonstrably shown a commitment to securing our border, and then not allow amnesty or citizenship priority preference for illegal aliens. You talked the talk, but recently you have stumbled in your attempt to walk the walk. I am not convinced yet- please move me.

2. Recognized the need to expand our environmentally responsible domestic oil and energy production from known sources and reserves, especially those in ANWR and in our coastal areas like California and Florida (Where Castro is allowing Chinese oil producers to tap into our offshore reserves while we watch the ecco-commies blather on about Carbon emissions and changing to a "Green Collar" economy as I pay $55 bucks @ $4.95 a gallon diesel to fill a puny 13 gallon tank on my VW Jetta Diesel car. Part and parcel is also expanding any refining capacity necessary to mitigate any pressure on prices caused by inadequate capacity, and expanding environmentally responsible use of our coal, tar sand, nuclear, and other known technologies as we perfect and bring new ones on line such as Hybrid vehicles, Solar, Wind, Fuel Cells and Bio Fuels (generated from BIO MASS, not FOOD). We don't need a "summer tax holiday" we need more of our own friggin' oil! Oil that isn't coming from our "friends" in the Middle East, or our enemies in Venezuela, maybe it's high time that we attach conditions on our economic and military aid from these "friends" of ours throughout the world?

3. Scrap this insanity of wrecking our economic future for the fallacy of Global Warming with CAP and TRADE or any other Socialist type legislation.

4. Show sincere and steadfast commitment to making our tax cuts permanent on your newly acquired position on that issue.

What's it going to take to get me (and I think other like-minded Conservatives) lock-stock and barrell?

Show me more interest in these Conservative issues and principles that matter to this life-long and faithful Conservative voter than you showed to the Tree Huggers on your recent trip to my own state, pandering for the "Green Vote" in your organic bio-degradable official McCain Campaign clothing. I guarantee you not one vote in November will come of that whole performance.

Pardon my strident and frustrated tone, but damn you make it hard to love and support you sometimes. Let me say I respect you immensely on many levels. Your service and sacrifice to your nation; both militarily and legislatively. I have always admired your fiscally responsible stand on waste and spending- no earmarks ever! I even defend you here in Boeing land for your actions on the tanker leases. That is integrity. On limiting Governmental scope we can also agree. On your steadfast support for the War on Terror and your support of the Commander-in-Chief and those under his command in Iraq, Afghanistan, and every corner of the world where we are engaged.

I don't know how to describe it, but it's just like seeing a gorgeous lady sitting across the room at the high-school dance, catching her eye, moving toward her and finding her to be everything you ever wanted in a woman as you ask her for the next dance. You put your hand out to help lift her from her seat and bwwoooooooop..... she farts upon rising. Suddenly the perfection of her is tainted, the moment is lost. Hopefully, the air will clear and she/you can convince me once again that you are the one for me.

ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain delivered the following remarks as prepared for delivery tonight in New Orleans, LA: Good evening from the great city of New Orleans. Tonight, we can say with confidence the primary season is over, and the general election campaign has begun. I commend both Senators Obama and Clinton for the long, hard race they have run. Senator Obama has impressed many Americans with his eloquence and his spirited campaign. Senator Clinton has earned great respect for her tenacity and courage. The media often overlooked how compassionately she spoke to the concerns and dreams of millions of Americans, and she deserves a lot more appreciation than she sometimes received. As the father of three daughters, I owe her a debt for inspiring millions of women to believe there is no opportunity in this great country beyond their reach. I am proud to call her my friend. Pundits and party elders have declared that Senator Obama will be my opponent. He will be a formidable o ne. But I'm ready for the challenge, and determined to run this race in a way that does credit to our campaign and to the proud, decent and patriotic people I ask to lead.
Fact Sheet: A Leader We Can Believe In The decision facing Americans in this election couldn't be more important to the future security and prosperity of American families. This is, indeed, a change election. No matter who wins this election, the direction of this country is going to change dramatically. But, the choice is between the right change and the wrong change; between going forward and going backward. America has seen tough times before. We've always known how to get through them. And we've always believed our best days are ahead of us. I believe that still. But we must rise to the occasion, as we always have; change what must be changed; and make the future better than the past. The right change recognizes that many of the policies and institutions of our government have failed. They have failed to keep up with the challenges of our time because many of these policies were designed for the problems and opportunities of the mid to late 20th Century, before the end of the Cold War; before the revolution in information technology and rise of the global economy. The right kind of change will initiate widespread and innovative reforms in almost every area of government policy -- health care, energy, the environment, the tax code, our public schools, our transportation system, disaster relief, government spending and regulation, diplomacy, the military and intelligence services. Serious and far-reaching reforms are needed in so many areas of government to meet our own challenges in our own time. The irony is that Americans have been experiencing a lot of change in their lives attributable to these historic events, and some of those changes have distressed many American families -- job loss, failing schools, prohibitively expensive health care, pensions at risk, entitlement programs approaching bankruptcy, rising gas and food prices, to name a few. To keep us safe we must rebuild the structure and mission of our military; the capabilities of our intelligence and law enforcement agencies; the reach and scope of our diplomacy; the capacity of all branches of government to defend us. We need to strengthen our alliances, and preserve our moral credibility. We must also prepare, far better than we have, to respond quickly and effectively to a natural calamity. When Americans confront a catastrophe they have a right to expect basic competence from their government. Firemen and policemen should be able to communicate with each other in an emergency. We should be able to deliver bottled water to dehydrated babies and rescue the infirm from a hospital with no electricity. Our disgraceful failure to do so here in New Orleans exposed the incompetence of government at all levels to meet even its most basic responsibilities. The wrong change looks not to the future but to the past for solutions that have failed us before and will surely fail us again. I have a few years on my opponent, so I am surprised that a young man has bought in to so many failed ideas. Like others before him, he seems to think government is the answer to every problem; that government should take our resources and make our decisions for us. That type of change doesn't trust Americans to know what is right or what is in their own best interests. It's the attitude of politicians who are sure of themselves but have little faith in the wisdom, decency and common sense of free people. That attitude created the unresponsive bureaucracies of big government in the first place. And that's not change we can believe in. You will hear from my opponent's campaign in every speech, every interview, every press release that I'm running for President Bush's third term. You will hear every policy of the President described as the Bush-McCain policy. Why does Senator Obama believe it's so important to repeat that idea over and over again? Because he knows it's very difficult to get Americans to believe something they know is false. So he tries to drum it into your minds by constantly repeating it rather than debate honestly the very different directions he and I would take the country. But the American people didn't get to know me yesterday, as they are just getting to know Senator Obama. They know I have a long record of bipartisan problem solving. They've seen me put our country before any President -- before any party -- before any special interest -- before my own interest. They might think me an imperfect servant of our country, which I surely am. But I am her servant first, last and always. I have worked with the President to keep our nation safe. But he and I have not seen eye to eye on many issues. We've disagreed over the conduct of the war in Iraq and the treatment of detainees; over out of control government spending and budget gimmicks; over energy policy and climate change; over defense spending that favored defense contractors over the public good. I disagreed strongly with the Bush administration's mismanagement of the war in Iraq. I called for the change in strategy that is now, at last, succeeding where the previous strategy had failed miserably. I was criticized for doing so by Republicans. I was criticized by Democrats. I was criticized by the press. But I don't answer to them. I answer to you. And I would be ashamed to admit I knew what had to be done in Iraq to spare us from a defeat that would endanger us for years, but I kept quiet because it was too politically hard for me to do. No ambition is more important to me than the security of the country I have defended all my adult life. Senator Obama opposed the new strategy, and, after promising not to, voted to deny funds to the soldiers who have done a brilliant and brave job of carrying it out. Yet in the last year we have seen the success of that plan as violence has fallen to a four year low; Sunni insurgents have joined us in the fight against al Qaeda; the Iraqi Army has taken the lead in places once lost to Sunni and Shia extremists; and the Iraqi Government has begun to make progress toward political reconciliation. None of this progress would have happened had we not changed course over a year ago. And all of this progress would be lost if Senator Obama had his way and began to withdraw our forces from Iraq without concern for conditions on the ground and the advice of commanders in the field. Americans ought to be concerned about the judgment of a presidential candidate who says he's ready to talk, in person and without conditions, with tyrants from Havana to Pyongyang, but hasn't traveled to Iraq to meet with General Petraeus, and see for himself the progress he threatens to reverse. I know Americans are tired of this war. I don't oppose a reckless withdrawal from Iraq because I'm indifferent to the suffering war inflicts on too many American families. I hate war. And I know very personally how terrible its costs are. But I know, too, that the course Senator Obama advocates could draw us into a wider war with even greater sacrifices; put peace further out of reach, and Americans back in harm's way. I take America's economic security as seriously as I do her physical security. For eight years the federal government has been on a spending spree that added trillions to the national debt. It spends more and more of your money on programs that have failed again and again to keep up with the changes confronting American families. Extravagant spending on things that are not the business of government indebts us to other nations; fuels inflation; raises interest rates; and encourages irresponsibility. I have opposed wasteful spending by both parties and the Bush administration. Senator Obama has supported it and proposed more of his own. I want to freeze discretionary spending until we have completed top to bottom reviews of all federal programs to weed out failing ones. Senator Obama opposes that reform. I opposed subsidies that favor big business over small farmers and tariffs on imported products that have greatly increased the cost of food. Senator Obama supports these billions of dollars in corporate subsidies and the tariffs that have led to rising grocery bills for American families. That's not change we can believe in. No problem is more urgent today than America's dependence on foreign oil. It threatens our security, our economy and our environment. The next President must be willing to break completely with the energy policies not just of the Bush Administration, but the administrations that preceded his, and lead a great national campaign to put us on a course to energy independence. We must unleash the creativity and genius of Americans, and encourage industries to pursue alternative, non-polluting and renewable energy sources, where demand will never exceed supply. Senator Obama voted for the same policies that created the problem. In fact, he voted for the energy bill promoted by President Bush and Vice President Cheney, which gave even more breaks to the oil industry. I opposed it because I know we won't achieve energy independence by repeating the mistakes of the last half century. That's not change we can believe in. With forward thinking Democrats and Republicans, I proposed a climate change policy that would greatly reduce our dependence on oil. Our approach was opposed by President Bush, and by leading Democrats, and it was defeated by opposition from special interests that favor Republicans and those that favor Democrats. Senator Obama might criticize special interests that give more money to Republicans. But you won't often see him take on those that favor him. If America is going to achieve energy independence, we need a President with a record of putting the nation's interests before the special interests of either party. I have that record. Senator Obama does not. Senator Obama proposes to keep spending money on programs that make our problems worse and create new ones that are modeled on big government programs that created much of the fiscal mess we are in. He plans to pay for these increases by raising taxes on seniors, parents, small business owners and every American with even a modest investment in the market. He doesn't trust us to make decisions for ourselves and wants the government to make them for us. And that's not change we can believe in. Senator Obama thinks we can improve health care by driving Americans into a new system of government orders, regulations and mandates. I believe we can make health care more available, affordable and responsive to patients by breaking from inflationary practices, insurance regulations, and tax policies that were designed generations ago, and by giving families more choices over their care. His plan represents the old ways of government. Mine trusts in the common sense of the American people. Senator Obama pretends we can address the loss of manufacturing jobs by repealing trade agreements and refusing to sign new ones; that we can build a stronger economy by limiting access to our markets and giving up access to foreign markets. The global economy exists and is not going away. We either compete in it or we lose more jobs, more businesses, more dreams. We lose the future. He's an intelligent man, and he must know how foolish it is to think Americans can remain prosperous without opening new markets to our goods and services. But he feels he must defer to the special interests that support him. That's not change we can believe in. Lowering trade barriers to American goods and services creates more and better jobs; keeps inflation under control; keeps interest rates low; and makes more goods affordable to more Americans. We won't compete successfully by using old technology to produce old goods. We'll succeed by knowing what to produce and inventing new technologies to produce it. We are not people who believe only in the survival of the fittest. Work in America is more than a paycheck; it a source of pride, self-reliance and identity. But making empty promises to bring back lost jobs gives nothing to the unemployed worker except false hope. That's not change we can believe in. Reforming from top to bottom unemployment insurance and retraining programs that were designed for the 1950s, making use of our community colleges to train people for new opportunities will help workers who've lost a job that won't come back, find a job that won't go away. My friends, we're not a country that would rather go back than forward. We're the world's leader, and leaders don't hide from history. They make history. But if we're going to lead, we have to reform a government that has lost its ability to help us do so. The solution to our problems isn't to reach back to the 1960s and 70s for answers. In just a few years in office, Senator Obama has accumulated the most liberal voting record in the Senate. But the old, tired, big government policies he seeks to dust off and call new won't work in a world that has changed dramatically since they were last tried and failed. That's not change we can believe in. The sweeping reforms of government we need won't occur unless we change the political habits of Washington that have locked us in an endless cycle of bickering and stalemate. Washington is consumed by a hyper-partisanship that treats every serious issue as an opportunity to trade insults; impugn each other's motives; and fight about the next election. This is the game Washington plays. Both parties play it, as do the special interests that support each side. The American people know it's not on the level. For all the problems we face, what frustrates them most about Washington is they don't think we're capable of serving the public interest before our personal ambitions; that we fight for ourselves and not for them. They are sick of the politics of selfishness, stalemate and delay, and they have every right to be. We have to change not only government policies that have failed them, but the political culture that produced them. Both Senator Obama and I promise we will end Washington's stagnant, unproductive partisanship. But one of us has a record of working to do that and one of us doesn't. Americans have seen me put aside partisan and personal interests to move this country forward. They haven't seen Senator Obama do the same. For all his fine words and all his promise, he has never taken the hard but right course of risking his own interests for yours; of standing against the partisan rancor on his side to stand up for our country. He is an impressive man, who makes a great first impression. But he hasn't been willing to make the tough calls; to challenge his party; to risk criticism from his supporters to bring real change to Washington. I have. When members of my party refused to compromise not on principle but for partisanship, I have sought to do so. When I fought corruption it didn't matter to me if the culprits were Democrats or Republicans. I exposed it and let the chips fall where they may. When I worked on campaign finance and ethics reform, I did so with Democrats and Republicans, even though we were criticized by other members of our parties, who preferred to keep things as they were. I have never refused to work with Democrats simply for the sake of partisanship. I've always known we belong to different parties, not different countries. We are Americans before we are anything else. I don't seek the presidency on the presumption I'm blessed with such personal greatness that history has anointed me to save my country in its hour of need. I seek the office with the humility of a man who cannot forget my country saved me. I'll reach out my hand to anyone, Republican or Democrat, who will help me change what needs to be changed; fix what needs to be fixed; and give this country a government as capable and good as the people it is supposed to serve. There is a time to campaign, and a time to govern. If I'm elected President, the era of the permanent campaign of the last sixteen years will end. The era of reform and problem solving will begin. From my first day in office, I'll work with anyone to make America safe, prosperous and proud. And I won't care who gets the credit as long as America gets the benefit. I have seen Republicans and Democrats achieve great things together. When the stakes were high and it mattered most, I've seen them work together in common purpose, as we did in the weeks after September 11th. This kind of cooperation has made all the difference at crucial turns in our history. It has given us hope in difficult times. It has moved America forward. And that, my friends, is the kind of change we need right now.

McCain needs to stay on the Conservative path to the White House

What is John McCain thinking by pandering to these Eco-Commies?

As a Ronald Reagan Conservative I have had severe reservations in supporting John McCain but was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and following the Super-Tuesday clinching asked other like-minded and disappointed Conservatives to buck up as Republicans united and do the same. But, with his recent comments and expressed views on Global Warming I can almost see no difference between him and the Eco-Commies trying to push their Global Warming Alarmist agenda down our throats in their zeal to blow up our economy and global human progress with their folly. Only this week the Eco-Commie intelligentsia had to back pedal and admit that global warming is stopped and now is static. They point out that the Earths ocean currents are adjusting to stabilize the climate change. WHAT!? Mother nature fixing and correcting itself? How could this be? The science that global warming is human caused is not settled and the so-called "consensus" is a myth.

Given all this John McCain has found it necessary to pander to these Eco-commies and their pro- Mommy Earth, anti-human and human progress stagnating agenda. John McCain, listen to me please......THEY WILL NEVER VOTE FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE "GREEN" ON GLOBAL WARMING AS AN ISSUE. They are so far left on most every other issue besides it, that you are wasting your time, treasure and life-force for them and worse yet you are driving Conservatives like me away from the kind of enthusiastic support, financial aid, and maybe even the November votes you must have. PLEASE STOP IT. We Conservatives are much more important than a couple of rag-wool sock wearing lib's from Seattle! You will lose at least 1000 Conservative voters for every Global Warming vote you pull in with this ill-advised positioning and pandering. You started the same thing last week on comments toward Immigration policy, please learn your lesson. Don't pander for the audience of the moment or the Zip code.

About the only thing John said in his comments that I agree is correct policy was about increasing our Nuclear Energy production.

John, you need to be bold and come out in favor of ANWR drilling, and off-shore domestic oil production done in an environmentally responsible manner off California, and Florida's Gulf Coast. Cuba has recently contracted with Chinese oil producers to drill and extract oil offshore and right against our international border with them in the Gulf of Mexico off Florida. They will be tapping into reserves that run under our territory and will be extracting it in a partnership for the communist Castro regime. What the hell is going on here? We would rather pay $4.00, 5.00, or even $6.00++ a gallon for gas and diesel by not tapping that resource, but allow some Communist Chinese oil company with an unknown and probably non-existent track record for environmentally safe and responsible offshore drilling to extract oil that is arguably ours? Why would we Americans allow this Congress or any future president in this Energy market to drain oil out from our own available reserves instead of having our American Oil Companies with their knowledge, skill, and environmental expertise do it for we Americans? This is where the Eco-Commies and the Democratic leadership are leading us, away from the light of common sense in energy independence and into the darkness of our "environmentally enlightened" ruin.

These Democrats and Eco-Commies with their Anti-Oil, anti-drilling, anti-refinery policies (they have effectively used environmental impact and stifling regulations to prevent the building of any new refineries or capacity in over 30 years in the U.S.) are responsible for our current energy crisis and lack of energy independence. We must reverse this trend, and fast.

Don't buy their non-sense about Arctic refuge oil making only a few cents per gallon difference in the price of gasoline we pay at the pump. These are the same people that tell you that they will solve the problem with Ethanol and Solar panels. I see hundreds of cars, trucks and SUV's going by me all day long that have "FlexFuel" or "Ethanol" badges on them. I have NEVER EVER seen a pump or station anywhere in my travels where I could fill my car up with ethanol, have you?

We all agree that Hybrid vehicles and new emerging technologies like wind, solar and hydrogen fuel cells are extremely promising for our energy independence and for the environmental good. We can all stand united in support of that. These technologies show great promise for our future, but they are going to take time to replace our current and crucial demand for fossil fuels. While we perfect these, we must protect our economic vitality by providing stable and affordable oil for our domestic consumption, to do that we must find our own domestic supplies of known, proven, and conventional energy sources as we wean ourselves over to these newly perfected technologies and sources.

Beware that sometimes in our zeal to save mommy earth we can do more harm than good. Our rush toward Ethanol and Bio-Fuel is a perfect example of that. When this stampede for bio-fuel, primarily Ethanol, began several years ago I recall asking myself out loud... What will this do to food resources and prices? Certainly Archer-Daniels Midland wasn't asking this as they pressed their new friends in Congress to support their legislation promoting Ethanol (this industry is granted an exemption from fuel taxes, granting them huge advantages in pricing/profit against petro-fuels). These liberal lackeys so quick to criticize big oil gave away the store to Agri-Fuel conglomerates in a stampede to save mommy earth. These liberal eco-commies and Democrats in the "new uber-ethical Congress" with their newly swollen campaign coffers swoon and bask in their "Green is Good" cloak of absolution with their most honorable quest to save Mommy Earth; but now the worlds poor may starve. I guess they will worry about "solving" that problem later.

In our efforts to grow energy instead of food in our fields we have inflated the cost of food and thereby reduced the available arable land for food production. Further, these increased costs for grain and basic food commodities are impacting citizens greatly in nations even with great wealth like ours; but catastrophic consequences are beginning to emerge in the poor nations and economies of the third world. Grain prices and commodities like Wheat, Corn, Rice and Soy are skyrocketing and with these prices rising so goes the costs for the feed needed for Poultry, Pork, and Beef producers; not to mention the increasing fuel expense for their tractors, machinery, and transportation. It's a vicious circle and in the short term we must increase our supply of domestically produced oil, gas, coal and other fossil fuel and also we need to invest into building up the refining capacity necessary to perfect the crude into finished fuels. We can do this as we provide great incentives to expedite the emerging technologies to ensure our future energy needs.

We need leadership in the tradition of Ronald Reagan that clearly identifies the obvious problem and addresses that problem in a clear, concise, and simple manner with determined resolve and action. Such is the case with our current energy crisis. More supply from domestic sources. Most of America will vote for the candidate that delivers that message.

John McCain will not win by appealing to Liberal anti-carbon, and anti-oil, liberal elitist Eco-Commies that have adopted the religion and concept of "Mommy earth forever and people.....whatever?" McCain will win by leading America to it's inherently conservative nature and love of common-sense "here's what we gotta do to git 'er done" problem solving.

The New Iraq- Surging to Victory

Here is a great article by a Veteran Army Airborne Captain of Iraq, Peter Hegseth who this time returned as a journalist to an area he had served in just a couple of years prior. His impressions and observations are reported in this on the ground report that gives insight into the brilliant and innovative tactics employed by the remarkable General David Petraeus, the architect of the "Surge" strategy that is now bringing victory to Iraq and it's people. While there has been hard and gritty fighting for the security gained, the author shares some other ideas and tactics initiated by Petraeus and his men with the Iraqi people, security forces, local sheiks and the Son's of Iraq aka Concerned Local Citizens. The CLC's, are Iraqi/US sponsored and equipped Sunni militia sworn with allegiance to the Government of Iraq and to protect their neighborhoods from Al Qaeda and other terrorists with Iraqi and US Army support. He shares the process and tactics employed that were crucial to success and required not just military muscle, but imagination and the courage of the local people to be willing to accept a better alternative and life; one free of fear from Al Qaeda and sectarian violence.

With reports and stories like this, is it any wonder why the Lib's, anti-war Left and Democrat Party who constantly undermined and subverted our allies, our President, the Iraqi people, and our troops in their victory for the entire course of the war; want no talk of it as a national political issue any longer? Is it any wonder why the Liberal lackey's in the main-stream media are their willing dupes in the effort to bury the daily successes and achievements occurring in Iraq? It is one thing to have a difference of opinion and be opposed to a war, it is yet again another thing entirely to in an unprecedented effort in our history, actively and incessantly do every thing you can to lose a war for partisan political gain. The successes and momentum brought by the surge are plainly evident and concrete. The Iraqi people are ebullient in their optimism and hope for their future. Of course the Democrats will attempt to frame and couch it in their own dishonest way, it requires a "willing suspension of disbelief" to ignore the obvious; the obvious being that "General Betrayus" was right, and truthful and that they are the liars and defeatists unable to come to grips with the truth.

In the Dem's scheme of Subversion and Insurgency against victory in Iraq they expected a terrific political price to be paid for it by Bush and other victory supporters like John McCain. The Democrats expected to win the White House by forcing a loss in Iraq. Now that they are failed in their effort; the Democrat Party and the opponents of victory in Iraq should bear the political costs and ramifications for their Democrat Insurgency against America. Let's hope that John McCain rightly points this out in contrasting his position, his political courage, and his judgement for victory vs. the biggest supporters for retreat and defeat in Iraq; Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Stop the Democrat madness to change our Electoral College

There is an effort under way in Washington State to join a National movement sponsored by a bunch of sour-grape Democrats who still haven't gotten over Gore's Florida loss in 2000. They have already passed two bills that will obliterate any future influence or representation we have in determining our President with the Electoral College.

They are putting forward in Washington State a dubious plan to change our electoral college votes from reflecting the will and winner of the voters in our state, to the will and winner of the overall popular vote in all the states, states dominated by the likes of N.Y. and CA. With this idiotic and misguided scheme, the opposite of what they intend will result. We will in fact, essentially lose our voice in the election process. We will never see Presidential candidates in our state who would come to learn about our concerns, issues, and hopes if our 11 measly electoral college votes go from winner-take-all of our states voted will; to the will of the winner of the National Popular vote dominated by all the population of the big states. We would be lucky to even rate a live-cast address by our Democratic and Republican presidential hopefuls at a Caucus. Hell, I bet we wouldn't even rate a side-trip from a California campaign stop.

Folks we are a Constitutional Republic, not a Parliamentary mob rule Democracy. We have a majority rule Democracy that includes a Constitution to protect the minority from the majority. Our founders rightly put balances to power in place to protect and ensure that small states and their citizenry and their interests would not have their power and influence usurped by the largest states and their domineering agendas; agendas that often share very little with our own interests. This idiotic and farcical bill eliminates all balance, protection and influence of a small state like Washington. Should this pass there would be no need for anyone to seek the presidency beyond the states of N.Y., CA, TX, FL, Michigan, IL, MA, and perhaps a couple of other populous states. Talk about disenfranchisement?

For what? Because a couple of disgruntled Democrats are still pissed because they think that Al Gore lost the 2000 election in Florida due to the electoral college even though he won the popular vote? He didn’t even lose the election to the electoral college in Florida. He lost it in his own home state of Tennessee. If he had won Tennessee’s electoral votes he would have been President, regardless of the outcome in Florida. For Chrissake’s if the people of his own state that know him best can’t save the nation from him, then what? HE DESERVED TO LOSE. Now let's leave a perfectly good system known as the Electoral College ----- ALONE!

The bills have passed both Democrat super-majorities in the Legislature as House HB1750 and in the Senate as SB5628 and are now waiting for Gov. Gregoire's signature. Democrat Eco-Commies in Olympia and D.C. Must be stopped!

A bill that is making it's way through the Legislature in Washington State was brought to my attention by a Republican friend today, it is Senate Bill 6900. This bill is best described as the "Engine Displacement/Carbon Emissions Fee" Bill.

The Democrats proposing this bill would add two fee's for your vehicle license renewal costs. First would be the "Engine Displacement Fee" that would add a new fee annually for the average car of $225 to a high of $600 for a full-size light truck or SUV. Vehicles under 1.9L or that are rubber-band powered are exempt. Woooohooo I guess I will be keeping my VW Jetta Diesel's 1.9Liter a lot longer! Funds would go toward transportation funding only... gee whiz how nice of them to keep it specific huh? This bill will go into effect and fees will start to be collected on January 1, 2009... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

But wait... the best is yet to come, you see they think that you may still want to drive a car or truck and they haven't even addressed the damage you are doing to the environment. So they have the solution to save the planet... at your expense also in this bill. Starting just three years later on January 20, 2012 -the bill adds the "Carbon Emissions Grams (Co2) per Mile Fee" that would also be added annually to your vehicle license renewal fee's in addition to the "Engine Displacement Fee's" enacted in 2009. How much is that you may ask? Oh I am so glad you did. They want to add for the average car's C02 emission and "carbon footprint per mile" a fee of $225 to a high of $600 for your Light Truck or SUV. Now these funds would not even be devoted to those that generate the fee's benefit to say mitigate congestion or improve Highway safety. No, no nothing like that- the dough goes to the "Multimodal transportation" account. I guess thats Eco-Commie speak for mass transit or bicycle lanes; Multimodal isn't a word, but hey these are cutting-edge concepts and solutions they are dealing with here and they have to create some new lingo and words to go with it. Besides it's obvious that these liberal elitists couldn't expect us to challenge their Scrabble words or dazzling urbanite intellect.

Bottom Line: $225 to 600 additional license fee each year based on your "Engine Displacement Fee" and the $225 to 600 per year for your "Carbon Emission Grams per mile Fee" mean an average of between $550 to $1200 per year PER VEHICLE when both fee's are in effect three years from now.

Another troubling aspect with this crazy new bill/tax/fee/rip-off is that we have told them countless times that we aren't paying exorbitant license fee's any more. We have voted and set them at $30, they keep pushing the envelope by challenging our will in the State Supreme Court, or by making you buy "new" plates for $20 bucks every couple of years that cost an inmate $2 bucks to pound out in prison; forcing you to replace perfectly good plates on your car. I am just waiting for the $10 plate disposal fee to go into effect any time now. They just won't take no for an answer. They don't listen, the WON'T listen. Fire them all.

We have to flush them all down the toilet next November, we must clean house, the Governor, the State House, and the State Senate. Get rid of the tax and spend and tax some more eco-commies. We also have to keep Obama or Hillary, and the rest of the National Dem's from getting a grip on the reigns of our nation. Surely, these types of policies and priorities are going to be implemented as promised by Hillary or Obama. With the National Legislative and Executive branch unified under the Democrat party, our national course would be exactly like the one we have endured in Washington State since 2004 with the Super-Majority in the House and Senate and a Governor that signs any tax, fee, or new program and spending bill put under her pen.

I can't stress enough how critical it is to elect Dino Rossi Governor along with Republican candidates for the Washington State House and Senate seats. This super-majority of Democrats with Queen Christine are out of control, they spend like drunken sailors (no offense to our Navy members). They are taxing anything and everything they can to satiate their idiotic agenda.

Still a Super Tuesday for Conservatives despite McCain Wins

Super Duper Tuesday's analysis is simple really. The Conservative vote was split by V.P. wanna-be Huckabee at Mitt's expense. Further, John McCain has spent the past weeks and even months (following the embarrassment and crushing damage to his campaign with his McCain/Kennedy Amnesty scheme) reassuring the right, and moving right, by promising to make the Bush tax cuts permanent, abolishing the death tax, sealing the border first and even having him chuck and disavow his own feeble attempt at illegal-immigration reform on the trash heap; so much for the main-stream media theory about the irrelevance of the Conservative wing.

So, rather than the likes of Rush, Sean, Levin and other Conservative pundits and talk-radio hosts being irrelevant; the opposite is true. With the Conservative vote split between Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee working to McCain's benefit, they have forced McCain to the right anyway. The Conservative criticism of McCain's aberrant and past stands are being corrected by the defibrillator shock paddles applied directly by Rush, Hannity and Levin et al to McCain's Conservative conscience to bring him back to the right side of the critical issues of our party and country as articulated by these pundits and leaders. Their intellectual honesty and criticism of one of our own will act as the conscience of his wayward Conservatism, keeping him on the path and positions on the issues important to the heart and soul of our party standard-bearers.

Conservative talk radio, blogger's, and the new media are our conservative voice and it's apparent that the main-stream media have in fact mis characterized what is occurring within our party as they have suggested that our Conservatism and it's loud and clear voice being articulated by Rush, Sean, and others are inconsequential and irrelevant. Once again, the old media have missed the mark completely. Conservative criticism has served notice to McCain and is moving McCain to the right. We will further insist that he solidify his commitments already made toward those Conservatives that believe in the enduring principles and philosophies of Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater, just watch it happen in a day or two at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

In the end our GOP battle of ideas will make the Republican party stronger; not weaker. Our positions will appeal to the moderate Democrats and independents who have seen the Democrat Party move away from their core beliefs and principles once espoused by JFK, Scoop Jackson and Zell Miller; and closer toward the policies of Hugo Chavez or Fidel Castro. While the Democrat party lurches left, it is leaving many old Democrats behind as it moves inexorably to it's new Socialist message of: Class warfare, Redistribution of wealth, New Big-Government Programs for every problem, and stated policies by both of punitive taxation and increases in a economically illogical attempt to tax us out of recession. Both offer a National Security and Defense policy of retreat and defeat in the War on Terror that will be replaced by a Declaration of War on the Oil companies and businesses of America. A Democrat win for the White House will ensure they are un-checked in dismantling our 2nd Amendment, or ensure them of achieving their stated goal and commitment to Pro-Death groups to remove all protection of unborn children; to even include the moment prior to the infant entering the birth canal. There is no real debate or battle of ideas within the Democrat party on differences of policy or substance, only a choice of personality/race/gender to carry forward their leftist agenda they are enslaved to by MoveOn.org, Code Pink, and The Daily Kos'ers. In the end these radical and lefty positions, no matter how charismatically articulated or presented to middle-America; are ones that will be rejected once more by Americans. Contrast the complete lack of experience and qualifications by the likes of Hillary, and especially Obama who has more time as a student in a radical Islamic Madrasas school in Indonesia than he has in the U.S. Senate, to John McCain and I think the American people will choose McCain.

While McCain is truly my third choice since the beginning of the nomination process (my first being Fred, then Mitt) if McCain becomes the nominee of the GOP, this Reagan Conservative will support and vote for him; and we will hold him to his promises and commitments. I urge every Republican to do the same. McCain knows that if he is to succeed, he must have Conservatives with him, they are much more important to his success than attracting moderates, liberals or even independents. If he falters and strays from the Conservative path, we in the grassroots and our Conservative voice projected through Rush, Sean, Coulter and the new media will keep him on task; we will even be Water-boarding him if necessary.

Should McCain ultimately be our likely nominee following the debate and critical examination of his policies and foibles that we have subjected him to, we will have succeeded in bringing him back to the Conservative and principled positions that have brought the GOP party successes for so many decades. Then I will cheerfully embrace and even kiss McCain: once we dry him off.

Sorry Democrats, no guts, no glory, no White House.

The Democrat party's strategy and end game for Iraq is taking shape. In spite of all the mounting and definitive evidence of The Surge success and good news coming from Iraq they have continued on their message of the past 3 years: "The war is not winnable", "there is no end in sight", "the Iraqi's aren't stepping up and taking responsibility for their fight", "benchmarks aren't being met" and on and on like a broken record. Never mind the facts, never mind the obvious, because it just doesn't square with the reality that success and victory is near.

I have asked the question many times, "When we win in Iraq, what will they do?" They seem to be answering the question.

Politically for the Democrats victory just can't occur, so they just refuse to believe, see, or admit it. So, off they go on their strategy to deal with the disaster of a victory in Iraq.

They are tipping their hand with the statements on the coming new battle for war funding forming on the Hill and the comments by Democrat leadership are indicative of their play. The statements and themes in my first paragraph have been echoed again in the latest statements by Pelosi, Durbin and Reid about the funding package for the Iraq war the President needs to continue the momentum and achieve the victory that our men and women have fought so hard to bring us. The honor and sacrifice our troops have committed to victory could be squandered because the Democrats will do anything to keep from an admission that they were wrong in their subversion of our effort to attain victory.

Their strategy entails demands that if the President doesn't agree to their timetables for withdrawal and/or benchmarks it will be the last funding for the war he gets. Really?

This would be like Truman's opponents (Republicans) in Congress who were against the war demanding an immediate pullout due to our high losses; just as General Patton is rolling his tanks to the outskirts of Berlin and a Russian private is stirring the ashes of Hitler and Eva Braun with the muzzle of his rifle at Adolf's Berlin bunker to see if they are cold yet.

By continuing with this dubious plan they will only attempt to appease the MoveON.org , Daily Kos and radical left wing of the party that "We did it"! We forced an end to the war and brought the troops home! Funny thing is, it would be wasted on them. They already know what gutless wonders they are, so in the end they will achieve no political capital whatsoever in trying to convince them they ended a war, that was already ended by the evil one George Bush.

The only thing it will do is jeopardize the hard work, sacrifice and gains made by our troops as they near the finish line. The troop withdrawals have begun already. Yesterday the announcement was made that a brigade is coming home for Christmas and would not be replaced. Decisions of this nature are to be made by the Commander in Chief based upon his advice from Iraq's government, General Petraeus, Ambassador Crocker, and Defense Secretary Gates; not Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin, or John "I wanna smear our troops" Murtha.

The Democrats can't let Bush control the ending of the war, because they have to make it appear to be a failure and defeat. Imagine that. They would impugn, discount and discredit all that our troops and allies have sacrificed and accomplished in Iraq; to save face on their disastrous policy and failed political play on an issue affecting our National Security for cheap political points and theater.

No shame, no shame. They are a gutless clump of empty suits these Democrat leaders (I except those that did have the guts to take on their own party, Sen. Lieberman, Congressman Brian Baird and I include the Repulicrats with the gutless Dem's like Snowe, Warner, Lugar, Hagel et al) They didn't have the guts to back a President of the other party in a time of National emergency for more than a mere year after 9/11. They didn't have the guts to back their authorization votes to go to war in Iraq. They didn't have the guts to run on a platform to end the war in Iraq. Then when they won with the help of the anti-war lefties, and they came calling for what they thought was collection of their political debt, they didn't have the guts to defund the war- when it really mattered to the anti-war left.

Do you think the Liberal mainstream media will point out any of this? Do you think that they will correctly show we are winning in Iraq so the American people can understand who secured the victory? No. That is why the Dem's are racing to get this done before the positive news of our success in Iraq is so overwhelming that they can't gull the willing dupes that the majority of Americans have become.

So now they try to make a gutless attempt to appear to end the war; when it is being won, as it is winding down and Bush is already withdrawing troops victoriously and intelligently per General Petraeus, Ambassador Crocker, and Malaki's advice and counsel.

Don't fall for it America. Our men and women in uniform, our allies and the Iraqi people who have endured so much in the face of great adversity and at great cost to earn their victory deserve better. This is serious business with dire consequences and now is not the time for Democrats to jeopardize success as we near the finish line for more of their cheap trite and failed political theater as lives and freedom for Iraq hang in balance.

From local sheiks and tribal leaders declaring victory, provinces being handed over to Iraqi control by U.S. and Coalition forces, to Bin Laden's mea culpa in his latest video asking for forgiveness of his transgressions against Iraqi's, to news of much lower U.S. and civilian casualties in Iraq; it appears that Hillary may have to re-think her decision not to "willingly suspend her disbelief" at what Petraeus reported to her just 2 months ago. She may just have to take the N.Y. Times, Washington Post, BBC and other liberal outlets word for it, instead of the word of the highly decorated expert military man who has lived, breathed, and experienced Iraq first-hand for several years.

A very interesting article written by Michael Yon in Iraq points out the good news. Amazing isn't it how you just don't see or hear these news stories in our mainstream media? Also amazing is how all you hear from the defeatist liberal politicians is that 'Iraq is in a full-fledged civil war..... our troops are caught in the middle of it...... they are wantonly killing innocent civilians.......the Iraqi Government is ready to collapse.......there is no political reconciliation...the Shiites and Sunni's are at each other's throats......you General "Betrayus" and US Ambassador of Iraq Crocker- are lying no matter what you say, see, or think is happening there is just not; we can see it on CNN '..... and on and on it goes in the parallel universe that the loony left and Democrats live in, a universe devoid of facts, reality, and truth. It is truly a universe of dogmatic fantasy in their effort to create failures in the face of success, defeat in place of victory, solely to further their political fortunes of gaining the White house and getting that evil George W. Bush and the anti-Christ Cheney.

It's as though Democrats by saying what they want to see happen in Iraq; a Bush and US defeat- that it will become so. They must think it's just a matter of consistently hoping and repeating the same trite drivel over and over again, in the Main Stream Media, on the floor of the Senate and House, and on the Democratic Presidential campaign trail to just make it so.

Michael Yon reported several years ago about a General in Mosul having great success in using counter-insurgency techniques to bring the local officials and leaders together to combat and defeat the terrorists. That General was David Petraeus. As early as March 2007, Michael Yon noted the incredible success of U.S. and British Forces in turning the tide with the "Surge". While the media frenzy overdosed on the Virginia Tech shooting tragedy, the anti-war left breathed a sigh of relief when the media completely failed to notice Coalition Forces led by British military command in Southern Iraq handed the first Province over to Iraqi government and security force authority.

Last week Karbala a major city and province in a once hot-bed area of opposition activity was handed over to Iraqi authority and control by U.S. and Coalition forces becoming the 8th of 18 provinces where U.S. and Coalition forces have transferred governance to the Iraqi government and forces. You probably missed that too, the mainstream media just wasn't paying attention.... again. Michael Yon is reporting that the situation is improving so dramatically and violence in Iraq is declining so rapidly as the tide has "Surged" against the Al Qaeda terrorists who are running for their lives. Michael predicted that he would be probably leaving a secure and stable Iraq for Afghanistan shortly into the New Year.

Political reconciliation is occurring. Ambassador Crocker and Petraeus explained to close-minded lawmakers in D.C. during their September briefings how it was working. It was building at the local level and going up from there. Iraq has always been about tribes, and sheiks. Saddam even allowed them their authority to a point. They are getting things done on a local level, Sunni's and Shiites, together. From killing Al Qaeda to forming local police units that they can have confidence in, to restoring power and utilities, it's happening now. They are setting the example and initiating the model for the regional and national authorities to emulate. They are taking up the fight with better trained and more capable police and Army units. Our casualties are dropping dramatically, and so are Iraqi civilian casualties, both are dropping as Al Qaeda's losses are mounting to unsustainable levels.

You know it's getting bad for Osama Bin Laden when he asks forgiveness for past transgressions for the heavy-handed and wanton attacks on Iraqi civilians in their effort to foment civil war. Bin Laden actually begged Iraqi's to give him and Al Qaeda a second chance, forgive them and stop the offensive against his forces in Iraq.

You also have to believe we are definitely on the path to victory when Osama Bin Laden and his Islamofacist followers are calling for the destruction of Al-Jazeera the pre-eminent source of news for the Arab world because they published his own words with commentary that was not flattering. Upon it's airing of the plea by Bin Laden to forgive the mistakes and carnage by Al Qaeda and his appeal to the people of Iraq for Unity against the "Crusaders" the Iraqi people responded by hoisting a big middle finger at Osama.

I close with the question I have asked previously of the anti-war left and the Democrat defeatists. I never had a doubt we would win and now I can't wait for them to answer the question.

Rush Limbaugh will One-Up them every time.

Rush is just too smart for them. The Democrats seized on an opportunity to "get Rush" and grabbed the headlines and the attention of the Drive-By media publicizing their "gotcha" on Rush (no doubt for their monthly act of indentured servitude to MoveOn.org) for some comments that were twisted out of context like pretzels into supposed anti-soldier comments by the Rushmeister. Rallying from this comment they devoted an entire day of the U.S. Senate business to draft a letter of condemnation, gathering the signatures of all the Senate Leadership and a total of 40 United States Senators (every one a Democrat) capping this serious work of government with a day of libelous and defamatory oration on the floor of the U.S. Senate against a radio commentators remarks. Comments that they knew to be falsely taken out of all context in which they were made. Rush was referring to Jesse MacBeth during a conversation with a caller into his show.

Rush has now decided to put the letter from the Senate Leadership and Partisan Senators (they couldn't find ONE Republican to join them in this charade) to good use. He won't even be using it as bird cage liner.

Rush Limbaugh has served as a long time Director and advocate for the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation whose mission is the education of the children of fallen Marines and Law Enforcement personnel. This charity provides scholarships and educational grants and assistance totaling over $29 million to date in the 12 years since it's inception.

Rush Limbaugh has placed the letter up for an Ebay auction. All proceeds from it's sale go toward the charity fund, and Rush has challenged each signer of the letter to show their support for our troops and police officers by each matching the dollar amount that the letter sells for. Surely this would as Rush points out, give tangible proof of their "support for the troops" more than attacking Rush, as the drug-crazed Chicken-Hawk, on the floor of the U.S. Senate would it not?

What about the "phony soldier" Jesse MacBeth? He's currently in prison serving time for Veterans Affair Department fraud. The astute bloggers and folks with REAL military backgrounds exposed him for the fraud that he was. He was NEVER a Ranger. NEVER killed 30+ Iraqi Civilians in a night. NEVER killed 200+ Iraqi's himself. He NEVER served in Iraq.

He WAS booted out of boot camp after only 44 days. He WAS a useful idiot for the anti-war left and there is evidence that they knew it all along. Further, his video "confession" has been circulated throughout the Islamic world, where corrections to it's inaccuracy are not desired in any way shape or form. The damage of his fraud has been done.

Just imagine for a minute that they win the White House in 2008. God help us.

Roberta Katherine (Bobbie) Bednarz- January 22nd, 1932 - October 1st, 2007.

We handed over my loving mother Roberta to Gods grace on Monday morning October 1st, 2007. She passed away peacefully at home with her loving,devoted husband Charles and family a week after suffering a pulmonary embolism, a complication from the later stages of the Alzheimer's she battled valiantly for 15 years.

Born Roberta Katherine Jackson on January 22nd, 1932 in Palo Alto, California. "Bobbie" grew up with a passion for horses. She was very active in 4H and Rodeo events and was a frequent Rodeo Queen. Mother was also active in High School activities. She was a Cheerleader at Palo Alto High and the young beauty was very popular with her classmates.

Mom was such a loving, caring and incredibly generous woman. She lived her life and loved those around her with such a passion. Mom was a woman of a strong but quiet faith, active in her church and its activities, and always keeping her personal relationship with God close to her heart.

She was always there for us growing up, Mom didn’t believe that staying home and raising her children was a sacrifice; she believed it was her loving and honorable mission and duty in life. Bobbie was such a wonderful mother, and often times an incredible father as well.

When Dad was stationed for long tours in the USAF of a year or more like in Saudi, Mom had the parenting double-duty. She would gather us about once a week to listen to the audio tapes and watch the Super 8 movies that dad had sent home. She would record a tape and send it back keeping us closer as a family on these lonely overseas postings.

Mom even pinch-hit for Dad teaching my identical twin brother Greg and I how to play baseball. She would play catch, and pitch us the ball and give us all the pointers on bunting and slugging; Mom definitely didn’t throw like a girl. When we were ready to join Little League, she took us to the sign-up table for the 2^nd grade team. The guy looks at Greg and I, who were pee-wee T-ball size runts. He wouldn’t let us sign up for anything; not even pee-wee T-ball. This guy probably to this day has no idea how close he came to being clubbed like a baby seal. Thank goodness I had the baseball bat.

Another gentleman who was standing nearby overheard her heated discussion and told her that he was with a cross-town league and signed us up for our grade. One game, Mom who always acted as official scorer, had to come out on the diamond to point out exactly how her son Gregory had just made an unassisted Triple Play because the Umpire was so stunned he wasn’t sure what had just occurred! The other teams’ scorer confirmed it and the ump made the call… SIDE OUT! Further validation of her prowess as a baseball instructor came when Greg and I were named co-MVPs for our team that year following the Championship game. Thanks to you Mom!

Mom had such a dynamic personality. She would enter a room, and her smile and charisma would just light it up. She was so beautiful, and had such a wonderful grace and sense of style. Mom and took great pride in her appearance, yet there was never any conceit or arrogance about her. Bobbie loved to entertain, because she loved people and the fellowship of family, good friends and good times. Her parties were always well attended.

Mother was always so charitable. It was all about giving her time, talents and treasure. It was while she was volunteering in a USO performance that she first met my Dad. A young Staff Sgt. from Inkster, Michigan named Myron Charles Bednarz.

After they married and had two daughters Christine and Lori, they moved to Japan for three years. While posted in Japan Mom worked with their Lutheran Church in the mission there to bring Christ to her Japanese friends and neighbors. She also volunteered with a local Japanese orphanage finding fathers of US servicemen, or parents in America that would adopt the mixed-race children that were abandoned by a society that at the time would not accept them.

She organized fund-raisers supporting these children by drafting my Dad into indentured servitude presenting his wonderful (tho amateur) singing voice as a big-time pro talent from the States and booking him to sing at Night Clubs in Japan. Little did she know in her efforts to help these orphans, what a Godzilla-like monster she would unleash from this shy and terrified young tenor she pushed onto the stage…. Now Dad will practically sit at freeway off-ramps holding a sign: WILL SING FOR FREE!

In the 70’s and 80’s Mom continued church volunteering, teaching Vacation Bible School and also became very active in GOP politics. She served as an officer in many GOP clubs and volunteering for numerous campaigns. Sorry Dubya, but Mom was the original “Compassionate Conservative”.

When Christine went to college and Lori was older, mom decided to volunteer at a local nursing home during our school hours. She used to make Greg and I go with her to visit the residents there in our early teens. At first we hated it, but soon we would ask her when we were going to visit our “Grandma’s and Grandpa’s” at the home. Mom had such love and compassion for these residents, in one of God's many ironies; she would receive the same love, care, and compassion that she provided over 30 years earlier in God's great circle. Mom would eventually become the Activities Director there in a paid position, but the increasing hours and responsibilities of her new job collided with the increasing unsupervised mischief of her boys as evidenced by a neighbor’s picture window shattered by our BB gun. So, she gave it up when she thought it affected her attention to her family, returning to part-time volunteer work. I really think though that she took more away from the experience when she believed she was giving fully of her own generosity of time and labor and by accepting pay honorable as the work was; it was somehow diminished in her eyes.

Mom provided us with great structure and disciplined love. Mom was strict, but fair. She was diligent in teaching us right and wrong. Mom always had us in Church on Sundays. She was resolved that her discipline would be tempered and always come from her love for us. I could always tell when I did something wrong, it was when I heard my FULL name….Michael R o b e r t Bednarz, through that strong, protruding chin in what we called the “Jackson Jaw”. My first recollection of it was when I was about 3 or 4 and she discovered the empty St. Joseph Children’s aspirin bottle that I had carefully and fairly doled all the tasty little orange flavored morsels contents of between my brother and I. (I had already learned the importance of sharing from mom you see) One for you, one for me, one for you, one for…... I was pretty young, but I still recall the horrific taste of Ipecac syrup and how those little orange candies didn’t taste nearly as good traveling the other way. I also heard my full name, once again in Great Falls, Montana. Greg and I were about 6 or 7 years old; it was really loud that time. We heard it on the second pass around the block on our bikes following the DDT fogging truck that was spraying to kill mosquitoes on the base housing. We thought she would be impressed that we were right up on that trucks bumper whuppin’ all the slower kids on the block.

Mom probably saved our lives with that two hour bath and the fiercest scrubbing that I will ever have in my lifetime.

Mom always supported us kids in all of our endeavors. She was so devoted to us. In 1991 when mother had first shown signs of problems, I had gotten food poisoning from a restaurant Marti and I had eaten at the night before. Marti had left that morning on a trip with her girlfriend out of town. I was so sick and weak I collapsed on the sofa and couldn’t make it upstairs. I was so dehydrated I knew I was in trouble. I reached the phone and called mom. I told her I needed her to bring me some Gatorade and medicines, to my house. She said she didn’t know where I lived………. I was stunned; she had been here scores of times. I asked her to really try and she overcame her fear for me and made it through and home safely. I think that was just about the last time she drove anywhere.

Mother also always supported my Dad throughout his life and careers as well. Dad was the love of her life. Their love story is so amazing. The young Staff Sgt. was instantly smitten by her beauty. Bobbie really knew how to pick one didn’t she? More than 50 years later, when mom began to have problems and knew something was amiss, the wisdom of her choice in a husband would really prove out. She set about teaching this man that barely knew how to boil water, or do a load of laundry everything he would need to know to care for himself.

Of course Dad would put that into practice, but really he did so in caring for her. Their love shined brightly through 56 years of commitment, to the letter of the vow- ‘till death do us part. Even last year, when Dad had his own life-threatening battle with cancer, Mom gave him the strength and inspiration he needed to conquer it. You see, he was so committed to her care and the promise he made to her that he would not be denied the privileged honor of providing that care for her at home to through the very end. I will never forget the look of shock and amazement on the faces of the nurses when Dad walked mom to her chair to get her out of the hospital and bring her home. Watching Dad give her those tender kisses near the end was so amazing, it was about the one thing that Mom would still respond to, and she would kiss him back. This Love affair, this marriage was the epitome’ of what Love and faithful commitment should be.

Dad you were the most wonderful husband and are an amazing father. Mom could never have done any better, ever asked for more, and you better believe that she knows it.

Mother, we are forever in your debt for the Love, support, and life you have given to us. I could never have asked for more from a Mother than you have given me as an example to follow through my life journey. You accepted your fate and the difficult path God had given you to come unto him without any malice, bitterness, or fear. To the end Mom lived her life with great dignity and love for her Family and Faith in Christ. I have no doubt that she is in God’s grace.

I will always love and miss you mother, but I take great pride, honor and comfort in being your son, and your namesake. I will forever hold you in my heart.

September 11th, 2001. We must sometimes relive the pain to keep our vigilance heightened to meet the continuing threat that this nation faces. I found this video to be a wonderful tribute and reminder of our national heroism, courage, and compassion in one of the darkest hours in our history. Keep the families of the victims and the rescuers that perished this day in your prayers and thoughts.

We must also pray for the brave guardians who have confronted this evil in the War on Terrorism we have asked them to protect us from. They have sacrificed so much for our safety and security. For those brave men and women in our Armed Forces and Intelligence services that we often times take for granted; we SALUTE you!

Take the opportunity to thank a soldier, sailor, marine or any other member of our armed forces for their service.

Not long I stopped for lunch at a small Teriyaki restaurant outside an entrance to Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Washington. I was in a big hurry and it was just off the freeway so I could just buzz in and buzz out. As I exited the freeway I noticed anti-war protesters that were on the overpass of the road that crossed over the other side of the freeway directly into a gated entrance to the base. They were there to protest the return of a Stryker Brigade from a years deployment on that very day and the departure of another brigade to take their place in the fight against terror on the Iraq front. There were only a few devoted anti-war stragglers left as most had gone away when the media coverage had. The freeway overpass was adorned with thousands of yellow ribbons each one no doubt carefully and personally tied by loved ones for their own trooper. Of course many yellow ribbons failed in their intended purpose, and many families would not be there to greet their loved ones who had fallen in the defense of freedom and protecting us from terrorism.

Here were these protesters I thought to myself, there in sight of those soldiers and families entering and exiting the post, soldiers that ironically are guarding the very freedom and protecting their right to protest them for the protesters fleeting moment of glory on the 6:00 evening news at their expense. I guess it was akin to the Nazi Party of America winning the right to parade through the community of Skokie, Illinois many decades ago with it's large population of holocaust survivors. As disgusted as we are by it, it is an example of what America really means.

I ate my lunch and watched one of the finest examples of America's bravest and best who was catching up on the past 12 months of life's events with his lovely young wife over their meal at the counter. Her eyes sparkled as she nuzzled her Black Beret donned Ranger. I walked up next to them at the counter to pay my bill as they were discussing what to order for desert. I quietly asked the owner at the register how much I owed, and then I asked him how much their meal was including the desert they had just ordered. He didn't really understand exactly what I was asking and my Korean just isn't as good as it could be. But I finally impressed upon him what I wanted to do, paid him and headed for the door. The young couple were oblivious to the world around them at the moment, so in love and so happy to be together after a year apart and I certainly didn't want to disturb their reunion.

Just as I got to the door the young trooper called out "Excuse me sir". I turned and he came over to me and said "Thank you very much for our meal sir." Evidently the owner told them I picked up their tab. To which I replied, "No, no, thank you, for all you do to protect this us and our country with your service. It is the least I can do for you and your wife also sacrificing so much for such an important mission. It is truly my honor and my pleasure."

This young soldier looked into my eyes with a confidence and self-assured strength and maturity belying his young age (I guessed he was in his early twenties) and we each saw the sincerity of gratitude through welling eyes. I extended my hand to shake his, (I wasn't about to dishonor him with a botched salute due to my lack of military experience) I turned to his wife and nodded as she beamed with such pride for her soldier and this public recognition and appreciation they had just received. I told them goodbye and as I walked to the car I was so hopeful that my small gesture of appreciation could offset and counter anything that they would see or had seen by those protesters dressed in black on that overpass today, or even beyond this day itself.

It was perhaps the best $20 bucks I have ever spent.

God Bless America and please remember to fly your flag today. We should probably fly it every day.

Fred Thompson is the common-sense Conservative that will have the best opportunity to move America forward in the tradition of Ronald Reagan. Fred has responded to his supporters grass-roots campaign to draft him into service for this great nation. He has answered the call by concerned and hopeful Americans for a candidate that is consistent on the principled issues so important to this country. Fred seeks this position as a result of this demand; not as one who has set out on this path for selfish personal ambition.

He will be the leader to break through the current quagmire of divisiveness and partisanship that has hobbled America of late on every challenge and issue facing it; be it the War on Terror, Homeland Security, Economic prosperity and Border Security/Illegal Immigration reform. Fred will strive to end the accompanying political animus and discord that has led to a cynical and divided American public.

From our unified stand against Terrorism following the worst attack ever launched against America in it's history only 6 years ago we have now hit a new low in the public perception and approval of our leaders. Even before the sea of American flags and our mourning for the victims of 9/11 waned, America's left and the Democrat party started with the incessant and banal vitriol that has been launched against George Bush, America, and his policies. The result is that our President has an approval rating of 32.6%. Curiously, it seems the left-wing liberals attacks on Bush, Cheney, Gonzalez, Rove, Rumsfeld, Gen. Pace, Gen. Petraeus, and even our troops in the field have succeeded in giving their new Congress an approval rating of over 10% points less than Bush at only 22.2% approval.

For what purpose has this strategy of personal attack, political character assassination and subversion of our national unity served the Democrats? It has filled their coffers with MoveOn.org funds of course, but in the end it is exactly as I have said about these Democrat tactics for years: If you take a giant vat of excrement and throw it around, you are bound to get some on you. It seems that now with a 10-point lower approval rating for Congress than President Bush the Dems have been more than a little soiled by their fervent activity; it seems they have fallen right into that very vat-- joining one former Sen. Tom Daschle.

Suppose that their rhetoric does work and we find them with Hillary or Obama in power in 2009? What success do they think they will have with a weary and cynical public thirsting for leadership, vision, new ideas, victory in the War on Terror, and clarity of purpose/conviction? They will set out with all the organs of power to re-make America in the image of George Soros, the DailyKos and MoveOn.org. They will destroy the greatest health care system in the world, raise taxes in the face of the economic prosperity gained by the Presidents tax cuts, bankrupt Social Security, eviscerate the Military and thereby our safety at home, bomb our allies and have us sit down for tea to negotiate with our enemies only to create more and greater challenges abroad as a result. They would maintain that our borders should remain super-highways with exit ramps to their Sanctuary Cities where anyone wanting access can follow the bilingual signs to the free public services that are theirs for the asking. This very real scenario should frighten us all into action.

If the current dysfunction of their leadership in Congress is any indication, America can't afford to hand them the keys to the White House for more of the same; especially with someone in the White House to rubber-stamp everything they want.

FBI officials and local police are seeking to identify and interview these two men that have recently been making the rounds on Washington State Ferries displaying suspicious behavior. A ferry crew member snapped this photo after several complaints of unusual behavior by passengers and crew. If you know the identity of either of these individuals, or see them, especially on a Washington State Ferry, you are asked to notify Washington State Ferry officials, your local police or FBI.

In a surprising move, one of our two large daily papers, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, denied the FBI and Ferry officials request to publish the photos and seek the publics help in trying to identify the men. They cited the "racial profiling" and civil-liberty violate mantra to justify denying their request. The Seattle-Times, while no bastion of conservative journalism, saw the purpose and merit and opted to publish the photo's for the public common good. I guarantee you if this story involved the Staten Island Ferry the photo would be on page one of the N.Y. Times. It probably wouldn't have made it before 9/11, but it certainly would today. Less than one month ago, Republican N.Y. Congressman Pete King, had to fight Democrats like hell to get an amendment into a Homeland Security bill that would grant immunity protection to citizens from legal action for reporting suspicious behavior just as this very story details, or the such as the high-profile case of the "Flying Imams" and their attempt to terrorize a fight last year with their suggestive behavior.

When will the Lib's ever learn? The further left they go; the further they get from common sense.

Washington State Democrats Carte Blanche' Earmark Spending Spree

It's been 3 years now since King County's corrupt Democrat Party controlled election system delivered the Governorship to Christine Gregoire along with a huge Democratic majority in the House and Senate with no hope of any real Republican encumbrance to their budgeting, taxing, and spending.

Not happy with the record budgeted spending and record tax increases to fund it, Washington Democrat legislators have now TRIPLED earmark spending from about $50 million to more than $150 million in only 3 years of their stewardship of our treasure. Treasure of ours spent not on bridges, or for badly needed in-home caregivers for Alzheimer's patients, or anything that trivial. No, they spent it as shown by the Seattle Times article, on posh new locker rooms for the Everett Aqua Sox's baseball team for nearly a half million, and $10,000,000.00 for funding a road to help a private real estate project of a big-time Democrat donor.

This follows a similar trend in the U.S. House and Senate where the Democrats promised to end the Republican abuses in that regard; yet instead of ending it, they only have made it their mission to show them how to really spend money.

Now don't get me wrong, especially in Congress as I have posted previously I believe the Republicans lost their way on their principled and traditional stance to hold spending and taxes in check. As a result many Conservatives sat out 2006 and the voters threw them out for spending like drunken pirates on a Caribbean port-of-call. However, the chart and numbers show a clear difference between the parties. On their worst day Republicans spend like T-Ball Little Leaguers compared to the Democratic Major Leaguers.

The graph above shows where Republicans held a near split or small majority in the legislature for the past 10 years. (the big blip 89-93 were the Dem. Gov. Booth Gardner years) Then under one budget-savvy Senator by the name of Dino Rossi, the spending was balanced in the budget with a balanced, no new or increased taxes budget for Democrat Gov. Gary Locke after he refused to sign the Democratic Majority written budget. He sent their slop back to the kitchen and Dino took charge from the majority Democrats in the Legislature and got it done; exactly that way with no cuts in essential services/programs and no new taxes or tax increases.

This chart clearly shows the results of electing Democrat Gov. Gregoire and the House and Senate to Democrat Party super-majorities (2004-2006). You can see exactly where they took control is where all hell breaks loose!

Our property, sales, death, gas and inheritance taxes have all been raised, or reinstated by the Democrats since they took over. New taxes have been added as well, such as a catalog sales and Internet tax that have never existed before. And, this fall, you will be asked to support a huge tax/bond measure on the ballot to expand Sound Transit and more transportation and highway improvements that were fraudulently purported and marketed to be covered by the LAST two record gas tax increases. I really believe the Governor and Democrats have a fatalist strategy to cram as much spending and earmarked patronage through as they can in anticipation of her one-term stay at the Governors Mansion.

The Democrat Party's Insurgency against America

I know that is a heavy-duty headline and charge. I wish it weren't true, but I believe it is right on and unfortunately the evidence and their actions fully support this allegation.

To be fair, I should have also included a few Republicrats like Hagel, Snowe, Lugar, Voinovich, and Warner; the ones that are throwing in with the Dem's and are piling on the President during his fight to win this War On Terror. These Republicrats are now complicit with the Lib's in the goal of defeating America in it's War On Terror, and specifically on the war's Iraq front. So now for my purposes they are included when I refer to the "Lib's" "Dems" and so forth. They have now allied with Democrats in the Insurgency against America's win in Iraq and the larger War On Terror.

Here are my 2 main reasons why Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, et al are guilty as charged:

1. Undermining the Commander-In-Chief during a time of war.

Constructive disagreement, and dissent is one thing. But to be so blind in your hatred of our nations leader in a time of war to the point where you will affect our troops morale, sense of mission and duty is quite another. Pelosi's Mideast Tour in Feb. was also a prime example of undermining the President and his branch of power and authority and it's policies, publicly and on a world stage.

2. Putting Democratic Party interests before AMERICAN National Security and interests.

It's all about the politics, not the truth or to the benefit of America and it's citizens. Whatever hurts Bush goes, regardless of the effects on our troops or National Security. During the funding bill showdown in April they actually removed funding for new Up-armored vehicles, equipment, and training for the deployment of the surge strategy. They tried to replace the funding for these items with Billions in Pork spending to entice the farthest left members of the party to not vote for de-funding the war.

There is mounting evidence, and news reports from Iraq to indicate that George Bush has, just as Abraham Lincoln had with Ulysses Grant during our Civil War, found his General in one David Petraeus. The progress is so encouraging that even the most strident of liberal critics, staff fellows of the ultra-liberal Brookings Institute writing for the leftist organ NY Times no less; have done an about-face and see great improvement and even a win for us in Iraq.

Actually our liberal left media is about 4-6 months behind the curve. Michael Yon, the independent embedded journalist has been reporting concrete and tangible progress starting in January and February when the initial surge strategy was implemented. Michael was not alone in what he saw and reported.

Petraeus' validated tactics and philosophy of counterinsurgency he proved in Mosul for winning the trust and the hearts and minds of the Iraqi's are paying dividends. Sunni tribal chiefs and local leaders are turning to U.S. and Iraq Army and Police commanders and forging alliances and partnerships against Al Qaeda of Iraq. Iraqi citizens are pointing out IED's and enemy weapon caches and safe houses. The Iraqi military and police forces are becoming much more effective.

Captain Combs said this particular Iraqi unit, the 3-25, has never run away from combat, and never refused to close on the enemy. Combs said, “I’ve fought with 3-25 for 10 months in Diyala and they have always come when I am in trouble. They always go on patrols when I ask. With their increase in training has come an increase in Sunni percentages of the forces, the trust factor has increased greatly as a result. With the increased efficacy of Iraq security forces comes the luxury of purging and eliminating the corrupt and ineffective commanders and officials. With that increase so goes the trust factor and faith of the Iraqi citizens in their new Army and Police. American commanders also have real confidence in their abilities to carry out operations and stand toe-to-toe with the enemy.

The U.S. Command in Iraq also released many statistics that went unreported and ignored by the US media, though the real data and reports went right to Congress and they knew exactly where things stood with the gains and improvement that were really occurring. The liberal main stream medias failure to leave the green-zone, and actually go somewhere besides the latest Baghdad car-bombing has skewed the public perception of the reality of the situation and vast improvements on the ground in Iraq.

This dereliction of duty by our supposedly independent press has given the liberal Dem's the audacity needed to invert real progress being made to one of perceived failure. They have given Democratic leaders the cover of plausible deniability enabling the Dem's to expand their insurgency against America's victory in Iraq with their inaccurate and lazy reporting of the truth. This has made them in effect unwitting co-conspirators of collusion via their incompetency with the Democratic insurgency. An insurgency targeting the President and the troops he leads; our very sons and daughters, as well as our Iraqi and coalition allies.

They did this with the funding bill delays, the endless resolutions that had no authority or purpose except to embarrass the President, damage the troops morale and conviction in our support and only served to strengthen the terrorists resolve and zeal.

I will say it. These Democratic leaders of the Insurgency against America are directly responsible for deaths of American, Coalition and Iraqi troops and civilians. They have done this by impeding our full effort toward victory. Their actions have also encouraged states in the region like Iran into involvement and surreptitious support with weapons like the deadly and sophisticated shaped-charge IED's and with technical know-how provided by Iranian military experts that have infiltrated in to assist insurgents; because America displays it's political rancor, discord and lack of resolve.

Why are the Liberal Democrats mounting this insurgency against America? Because things are going too well in Iraq, we are winning in Iraq and we will win in Iraq. This is a horrible prospect for the Democrats, so horrible they can't even keep from saying it out loud, and on the record. One Democratic Congressman last week was quoted saying that victory in Iraq will be "a disaster for Democratic plans for 2008 elections" specifically on their designs for the White House and further majorities in the House and Senate.

While we are defeating the Insurgents in Iraq. We are killing the enemies of our goals and the opponents to the establishment of peace and security for the Iraqi people. As the Iraqi's continue to seek peace and tranquility the Democrats strive harder to undermine these efforts and actively oppose and work to defeat America's plans simply to further their narrow partisan political agenda and appease the hard-left wing and it's rabid hatred of Bush.

As a result, they now share the same aims and goals as Al Qaeda and the Terrorists. With the success of the surge and the increase in stability there is a new urgency on their part to present the war in Iraq as Harry Reid has said "Lost." The cry to pull our troops out is increasing even with the evidence of their mounting effectiveness and progress. Like a swimmer starting across the Niagara River a mile above the falls, the Democrats would have us turn around and head back to where we started when we are 3/4 of the way across as we begin to tire and drift downstream near the edge of the falls; instead of pushing forward the final short distance to victory.

They will try everything to delay funding, pull out troops, and undermine the morale and support from our brave young men and women. When that fails along with the desperate acts of Al Qaeda in it's death throes, they will then attempt to redefine the established goals and disqualify the concrete gains of our brave men, women and leaders when Petraeus presents his September report.

As we continue to defeat this insurgency in Iraq; the Insurgency here against America led by Pelosi, Reid and Murtha, will surely grow. We will defeat the insurgency in Iraq. When we do, and because the Democrats are so heavily invested in our defeat in Iraq; the Democrats Insurgency against America will also be defeated.

This article details his recent documentation of Al Qaeda's brutal inhumanity they wrought on the population in areas where they are being eliminated by U.S. and Iraqi forces with the aid of the local Sunni population in an offensive that is part of the larger "Surge" strategy currently underway in the Baghdad and Sunni triangle. Michael has been frustrated by the complete lack of interest by the major main-stream media outlets (with the exception of Fox News, Newsmax and some conservative newsblogs) in a massacre of civilians and children by Al Qaeda in a small village near Baqubah. Where did they go?

On 29 June, American and Iraqi soldiers were again fighting side-by-side as soldiers from Charley Company 1-12 CAV—led by Captain Clayton Combs—and Iraqi soldiers from the 5th IA, closed in on a village on the outskirts of Baqubah. The village had the apparent misfortune of being located near a main road—about 3.5 miles from FOB Warhorse—that al Qaeda liked to bomb. Al Qaeda had taken over the village. As Iraqi and American soldiers moved in, they came under light contact; but the bombs planted in the roads (and maybe in the houses) were the real threat.

The firefight progressed. American missiles were fired. The enemy might have been trying to bait Iraqi and American soldiers into ambush, but it did not work. The village was riddled with bombs, some of them large enough to destroy a tank. One by one, experts destroyed the bombs, leaving small and large craters in the unpaved roads.

The village was abandoned. All the people were gone. But where?

On 30 June, soldiers from 1-12 Cav allowed me to go to the village in one of their M-1 tanks.

As often happens in Iraq, the first time I meet American combat soldiers, we are going off to do something serious. Although the soldiers usually do not know me, they are courteous and professional, and always watching out for me. And so it was with LT Baxter, who was commanding the M-1 tank that I’d be riding along in, and who made sure I didn’t break my neck getting into the tank. I nearly pulled him off the tank while climbing aboard.

The tankers drove off FOB Warhorse, and only a few miles later, we arrived at the outskirts of the abandoned village.

American soldiers began unloading dozens of body bags, which the Iraqi soldiers, with grim looks, carried into the village.

Captain Clayton Combs has been fighting hard in Diyala for about ten months, much of it side-by-side with Iraqi soldiers from the 5th Division. Each time I’ve come into contact with the 5th, they seem far better than most. American officers and sergeants who work with the 5th have good things to report about them, saying that although the 5th still has far to go, and cannot sustain itself logistically, it can fight.

Captain Combs said this particular Iraqi unit, the 3-25, has never run away from combat, and never refused to close on the enemy. Combs said, “I’ve fought with 3-25 for 10 months in Diyala and they have always come when I am in trouble. They always go on patrols when I ask. They never back down.”

I asked Captain Combs to repeat what he said, making sure he knew I was planning to quote him directly. A veteran like Combs would be unlikely to append his name to such words if he weren’t dead serious. Captain Combs repeated his words and stuck by them. He then demonstrated that faith when we took off deeper into the danger zone with nine soldiers from 5th IA: just Captain Combs, Iraqi soldiers and me. As we passed through the village, Captain Combs pointed out the nice houses, saying the people had been simple farmers with comfortable homes and lives.

Until al Qaeda came.

The houses all were empty. We passed by two donkeys each shot in the neck. Al Qaeda had killed their livestock.

Al Qaeda often plants bombs inside the dead bodies of the animals and people they’ve killed. They have rigged children’s bodies with explosives.

Some steps later, we passed by a crater—one of many in this village—made on 29 June when bomb experts destroyed an IED.

Then a few steps beyond the crater, Captain Combs pointed out a car that had been filled with explosives. American soldiers had destroyed it with a Thermite grenade.

A short walk later, as we passed more abandoned homes, I saw an empty AK-47 magazine on the ground. The houses were in shambles: broken glass and ski masks littered the area. The Iraqi soldier with the goggles saw a photograph on the ground, and picked it up.

We walked into the palm groves nearby. There was a terrible stench. The heat and the vegetation reminded me of the Killing Fields in Cambodia where I had visited shortly before the most recent trip to Iraq.

Soldiers from 5th IA said they’d found some of the villagers: They were dead.

The bodies were fresh, and the smell was overwhelming. A small group of American soldiers were keeping a respectable distance, but the area was filled with Iraqi soldiers from 5th IA.

I told the Iraqi commander, Captain Baker, that it was important that Americans see this; he took me around the graves and showed more than I wanted to see. He said the people had been murdered by al Qaeda. I made video of him speaking, and of the horrible scene. The heat and stench were crushingly oppressive and broken only by the sounds of shovels as Iraqi soldiers kept digging.

There were bodies of men, women and children. Al Qaeda slaughters families everywhere: as these graves were being unearthed, more bombs were found in London.

There was no sign of the sacred at this gravesite.

Some of the bodies seemed fresh. The air temperature was about 115°F.

By the time I arrived, 5th IA had uncovered parts of six bodies. But from what I could see, they did not all appear to have been murdered at once. In one grave, there were exposed ribs and other bones, although there was still flesh on the bones.

The digging was the first part of the gruesome job.

Hot, hard work and as it progressed, the stench got worse and worse. An Iraqi soldier carefully sprinkled water on the corpses.

Soldiers from 5th IA said al Qaeda had cut the heads off the children. Had al Qaeda murdered the children in front of their parents? Maybe it had been the other way around: maybe they had murdered the parents in front of the children. Maybe they had forced the father to dig the graves of his children.

Iraqi soldiers were barely talking. All had grim looks and everybody seemed to want to be a million miles away. Yet these Iraqi soldiers helped me do my job.

Later in the day, some of the soldiers from the unit I share a tent with, the C-52, told me that one of their Kit Carson scouts (comprised of some of our previous enemies who have turned on al Qaeda) had pointed out an al Qaeda who had cut off the heads of children. Soldiers from C-52 say that the Kit Carson scout freaked out and tried to hide when he spotted the man he identified as an al Qaeda operative. Just how (or if) the scout really knew the man had beheaded children was unknown to the soldiers of C-52, but they took the suspected al Qaeda to the police, who knew the man. C-52 soldiers told me the Iraqi police were inflamed, and that one policeman in particular was crazed with intent to kill the man who they said had the blood of Iraqi children on his hands. According to the story told to me on 30 June, it took almost 45 minutes for the C-52 soldiers to calm down the policeman who had drawn his pistol to execute the al Qaeda man. That same policeman nearly lost his mind when an American soldier then gave the al Qaeda man a drink of cold water.

While that was happening elsewhere in Baqubah, we stood around the stinking graves of people who had gotten a close-up view of al Qaeda-style justice. The villagers’ bodies were rotting in the heat before us.

The blade of the shovel struck more fingers, and the Iraqi soldiers stopped and pointed to the fingers so I could film them. But I had seen enough and pulled back into the palm groves.

Captain Baker gave an important interview on video. Captain Baker, who in Captain Combs’ words is “an excellent soldier,” is from the Kurdish north, but Baker said he is Iraqi first, Kurdish second. He told me American Special Forces had trained him, and he shared some interesting details about the killing of Zarqawi which occurred back in 2006. Zarqawi had been the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, until he was killed nearby by U.S. bombs.

Soldiers from the 5th IA continued with their task as Captain Combs and I departed, heading back to the M-1 tank.

Along the way we passed fresh craters. The bomb that made the water-filled crater above would easily have destroyed the Bradley in the photo.

LT Baxter, the tank commander, was concerned that the heat was getting to me, and checked my uniform for sweat, asking several times if I was okay. They always watch out for me. But I was okay from the heat; I can take the heat as well as our soldiers can. Still, I felt very sick, the kind of sick that no amount of cool water can fix. I put on the comms in the tank, then ripped them off and left off my helmet and held the jet hose of the air conditioner on my face as the tank rumbled back to base.

R.I.P. Amnesty Bill... Now lets get busy and do it right.

Conservatives should be proud to have led the charge to defeat the Kennedy Amnesty bill. While we should be grateful that we prevailed, we should not gloat, nor rest on our laurels in this victory. This was a victory for legislative process, respect of law, fairness, and for our security because we stopped this critically flawed and ineffective piece of legislation; we can now begin the process to do it right, for all the right reasons.

This bill was flawed from the outset. It was hatched by illegal immigration special interests that were flexing their political muscle with their newly-won legislators. It was designed by, written by, and approved by, people supporting illegal immigration in agriculture and industry. Besides illegal immigrants the only ones for this bill were the corporate fat-cats that prey on the cheap labor, and liberal and Democrat groups looking to augment their dwindling ranks with new voters (legal or not) to replace those votes lost in the South to Republicans during the Democratic Party slide to the hard left over the past two decades. The fact that our President, and many Republicrat Senators within the Republican party signed on for this farce is quite vexing to myself and others in the grassroots of the GOP, especially in light of the vocal opposition made loudly, and clearly. These GOP Senators, and our Presidents support for this bill, and their inability to understand the frustration of Republicans and Americans on this issue are quite alarming.

Now hopefully we conservatives and correct-minded Republican leaders of vision, principle, and courage... ( I'm thinking it will be Mr. Fred D. Thompson) can pick up the ball and craft a bill to solve this major issue of border security, and illegal immigration reform.

It is nearly 6 years since we were attacked on our soil by terrorists, and we still have an open border completely unsecured for nearly a thousand miles allowing any terrorist, drug smuggler, or border jumper to waltz into this country unchallenged. We don't have a clue who they are, where they came from, where they are going, what disease or affliction they may carry, or what their plans are here. While it is wonderful that we defeated this Amnesty Bill this past week, the problem it was supposed to solve still remains. Illegal immigration is a problem on a scope and scale that will require us to work together as political parties, citizens, and with our affected neighbor nations to resolve it in a constructive, and effective manner.

There was a lot of passion, anger, and frustration over this bill. The reasons are very apparent. This bill was a farce. It reversed the public perception and demand for their identified priorities. Those priorities were basic and really two-fold. 1. Secure the border. 2. Stop the uncontrolled invasion of our country by illegal aliens and find a way to identify, track, monitor, and provide a legal, legitimate flow of immigrants and guest workers into the country in a fashion that provides us with security. Here are the core issues that must be addressed and solved to win over the American people and solve this problem responsibly and effectively for the benefit of the nation.

1.Priority One, Securing the Border- . We passed a law last year that provided for, and funded over 700 miles of fencing/border security provisions. to date, only 2 miles have been built. The new " Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill" professed to provide funds and measures for border security, but it did not. It was an effort that actually went backwards in an attempt to rescind last years law and replace it with less than half the length of border barrier of the yet-to-be implemented 2006 legislation.. it would leave critical areas in the most dangerous desert crossings completely open. Every year hundreds of people die in the heat and elements attempting to enter illegally through those sectors. The very fact that they wanted to neuter and reduce border security provisions yet to be constructed shows their dubious and nefarious motives to leave the border UNSECURE so that the flow of illegals can continue. The American people have stated plainly and clearly. Secure the Border FIRST and FOREMOST. So lets start by building the barrier that we mandated, funded, and Bush signed a year ago. Lets get as vocal and busy today, as we were last week, with our members of Congress, our Senators, and our President reminding them that we expect the law passed last year to be followed; build that fence and secure our border now!

2. No Blanket Amnesty- And the Path to Citizenship- Those that start their path to Citizenship by breaking into our house should not be given full amnesty simply with a payment of a fine, showing a forged utility bill, and with a dubious 24-hr background check. I would prefer we adopt the official Mexican Government Immigration Policy for those entering Mexico, but I don't think we could ever pass anything so strict and unaccommodating in this country, so it's back to the drawing board I guess. Amnesty and the Pathway to Citizenship is possibly the most banal, troubling aspect of this failed bill and therefore very important to do right in the next Reform bill. The suggestion that you have to ascertain and prove their identity, criminal background/history, mental fitness, and verify all these and their financial/employment within 24 hours with the law mandating that if our bureaucracy is unable to clear them in 24 hrs., now hear this.....they are granted resident/citizenship status by default!!? This is so obviously impossible it laid bare the true intentions behind this bill and it's backers, a wink, and a nod and rubber stamp to shuttle them straight through. We currently have a 7 year back log already for legal immigrants waiting to have their backgrounds cleared so they can be granted citizenship/permanent residency status yet we were being asked to believe that with a minimum of 12 million new illegal alien applicants (who now would get to jump in the front of the line because they didn't come in legally) with no appreciable increase in staffing of the bureaucracy to process them, we can clear them? In 24 hrs?

Our Homeland Security Department, just announced a couple of weeks ago that they had to extend by 3 months the implementation of the law requiring passports for U.S. citizens just traveling to Canada or Mexico and we have their full history and background data on these citizen applicants, yet they would have us believe that illegal aliens applying for citizenship/legal residency can be cleared in one day. Sure, that sounds reasonable and doable; if you are Ted Kennedy.

On the types of exceptions to be made for those applying for the path to citizenship. In the recently defeated Amnesty bill the Liberal Democrats killed an amendment that Republicans/Moderate Dems offered during the first attempt at bill passage that would have denied those illegal alien applicants already convicted here of serious felonies such as assault, drug offenses, domestic abuse, and sexual crimes (including some against children) and those that have already been ordered for deportation following criminal convictions, from being granted legal status and a path to citizenship. Now that sounds perfectly reasonable doesn't it? Wrong, not to Teddy boy Kennedy, Harry Reid, Babs Boxer, Hillary Clinton, Barak Hussein Obama and the other left-wing nuts posing as Democratic Senators. They killed the amendment, so they allowed hardened, and serious criminals a pathway to citizenship. I guess in their eyes, the diversity of America is not complete without some nice Gang-Bangers with big rap sheets being sewn into the fabric of our society.

The new "Immigration Reform Bill" that Republicans should craft, should flat-out ban any applicants with a history or record of serious crimes, period. We must deport any illegal aliens with a history of violence or felony crimes- and certainly not reward them them with a path to citizenship.

How many times did I hear some politician arguing that "it isn't amnesty, they are paying a penalty!" Please. Don't give me the song and dance about paying a penalty, and all that nonsense, that is only the PRICE for their amnesty. This bill penalized those that abide by the law, and gives those that don't preference over those that play by the rules, Americans will fundamentally oppose that every time, and they did.

There must be a process in the new reform bill which mirrors policy for those that legally apply, and desire citizenship. To do so, they must leave the country, then re-apply for residency, guest worker status, or citizenship so we have complete documentation and information on anyone coming into this country.

Instead of the fine which was only a gimmick to give Republicrats and other lemmings their trite talking points about it not being amnesty because of the payment of a penalty, let them put that up into an "entry account" this would be the first official act where their newly acquired Social Security number would be utilized. In the past we required legal immigrants to show financial ability to support themselves with a specific amount of money on hand, and skills or employment prospects to ensure they would not be indigent. That needs to be the case again. Instead of taking $5,000 for someones "fine" lets have the government put that into an account under their name for those on Visa's or awaiting citizenship to be used for medical expenses/emergencies, to defray impacts on our social services or their health care expense to our system should they not pay for their care. If they pay their way as they go, once they attain citizenship, or say permanent resident status that "account" is turned over to them with whatever amount remains. This would give them an incentive not to burden tax-payer supported programs or hospital charges that go unpaid. They must not be allowed government services unless they are registered and of the proper legal status. This "deposit" would be due with their application for citizenship, and only after they have completed and passed a medical examination prior to entry. Anyone here outside of the legal framework of a registered guest worker or legal immigrant would be subject to immediate deportation. If they have U.S. born citizen children, they can stay with a legal resident/citizen relative, or they go back with their parents to their home country. At age 18, as an adult the US born child can return to the country of their birth and citizenship. Employers hiring illegal workers will be subject to serious fines, per each employee. We must identify, and know who is in this country, period. It's not racial, it's about security, and fairness. In the end they will benefit. With the current system wages are held artificially low by a sub-class of people working under the table, and outside of the law. They are victimized by their illegal status, and are forced to accept sub-standard wages for their sub-standard status. This drives all wages down as a result.

3. Open up the debate and Legislative process to keep it transparent- There was a great deal of distrust generated just by the process in which this bill was created. The "Fix" was in on this bill from the get go. It was crafted in a back-room deal with special interests pulling the strings of their patron Senators. The bill was essentially written for specific patrons with the aid and comfort of Senator Kennedy. There was no analysis of costs, or expenditures for the proposed legislative policies and their ramifications- Senators were being asked to vote on a bill (many voted willingly in ignorant bliss) that hadn't even been published for them to read, and without the benefit even of a detailed report or analysis by the Congressional Budget Office, the non-partisan agency charged with analyzing Congressional budgets and legislative policy costs. The Heritage Foundation a respected conservative think-tank and policy review institute has done a cost analysis and report that pegs the cost of the propsed legislation at over $2.5 Trillion dollars over the next 20 years. of I actually listened to Republican Sen. George Voinovich of Ohio on Sean Hannity's national talk radio show get so angry at Sean for his own complete lack of knowledge and his indefensible ignorance on this important issue. He actually voted for Cloture, enabling the end of debate and forwarding it down the path to passage. He thought a key amendment made by Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, passed and used that as a justification for his vote for Cloture. You can actually hear the horror in his voice when Sean had to inform him he was wrong and that the key Amendment actually didn't pass, it had failed. As the Senator tried to dodge and evade serious questions of substance with obfuscation and ignorance, Sean bore in with clarity and his own solid grasp of the facts and issues. The Senator then went to his "offense is my best defense" mode. Attacking Hannity, and like-minded Conservatives/Constituents who contacted his office to urge his opposition to the bill, as obstructionists, racist, or Neanderthal knuckle-dragger's that are trying to intimidate him and threaten one so mighty and experienced with his 40 years of know-how on these important matters of government. How dare we attempt to educate him and keep him from his effort to vote for door number 3 (because that curtain was the purdiest color) at the U.S. Senate's "Let's Make a Deal" show. Now now you little people don't you call me and tell me how to vote, I know best. Listen to the audio clips for yourself, I don't care if he's a Republican, he epitomizes the arrogance and ignorance surrounding this bill and this issue. It has to change. If it takes a year, these guys have to know what they have in front of them to vote on, what the bill says, and how much it is going to cost. Then, and only then can it be crafted, and voted on using the same process used for the other 99% of legislation going across Capitol Hill to In the bright light of day.

There also has to be inclusion of our border neighbors in the process of setting policies and securing and enforcing our sovereignty and border. They must not dictate and demand what we must do to solve our problem with illegal immigration, rather we should explain that it will be changing, and they should be part of the solution, not part of the problem. I will not tolerate my President being admonished by (as recently occurred during President Bush's visit to Mexico), or pandering to the leader of a bordering nation that is making demands of us or calling for policies that go against our national security interests. The Mexican government is actively aiding, abetting, and suborning their citizens to violate our borders and enter our country illegally. The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Relations even publish a manual to aid illegal immigration into our country by their citizens. We need to identify opportunities and policies to help our Southern neighbor minimize the conditions or lack of opportunity and quality of life that forces it's citizens to seek out a new life North of the border. Economic and social justice should not just occur North of the Rio Grande. Our next President needs to change the dynamic of this relationship.

4. English is the official language of the U.S.- One more thing. Prior to being granted citizenship, they must pass an English proficiency test. English is the language of success and prosperity in America, and to not require them to pass a test, or provide educational programs to help them learn English, is akin to not providing a child a formal education, and expecting them to have success in life. It has always been a tradition in America for immigrants to assimilate into the culture and learn the language of America; aspiring to become Americans. Why should it be any different now?

Who will step forward and carry the ball to secure our borders, and end our illegal immigration crisis? I like to think that we Conservatives have the vision, courage, and fortitude to tackle the tough issues and make the right choices for America. Will it be Fred D. Thompson, Ruddy, or even a wiser more humbled and repentant George W. Bush? Given this new Congress and it's record of impressively ineffective leadership and aptitude for passing nothing, except non-binding resolutions to criticize Bush, Gonzalez, our troops, and our allies, I have to believe the solution to this problem will come from the leadership of Conservatives and Republicans.

In the mean time, I encourage all Americans to keep up the pressure on their elected officials by lighting a fire under the feet of those they called last week to ask them to kill a disaster in the making. Lets get a new and effective bill started now. Lets do it the right way, and for the right reasons; National Security, and a better future for America.

Fred Thompson wins Washington State GOP Straw Poll by a landslide

Fred Thompson won the Straw Poll held by the party faithful in Washington State on Saturday May 5th, at the 25th Annual State Republican Gala Dinner and Auction in Seattle.

Fred took an impressive 50% of the votes cast at the only statewide GOP presidential Straw Poll to be held in Washington state.

Representatives from Sen. John McCain and Rep. Duncan Hunter campaigns were in attendance campaigning for their candidates.

This week's dichotomy: Defeatist Liberals vs. Reagan/Republican Vision

This week is a perfect time to contrast he disastrous path the Democrat and defeatist liberals are attempting to lead America; and the vision of success, security, and victory envisioned by Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan's dynamic leadership and foresight to design, build, and deploy an anti-ballistic missile shield to protect our nation, derisively referred to as "Star Wars" by critic's, successfully intercepted and destroyed two incoming missiles this week over the Pacific.

Did you miss the coverage on this truly historic and landmark event? That is hardly surprising given the mainstream media's coverage of the House and Senate passing the Democrat and Chuck Hagel Iraq Defeat Act of 2007 and forwarding it to the waiting veto pen of George W. Bush.

Democrats spent last week trying to sell Americans to support their plan for fighting the war on terror, they continually droned on about a non-existent mandate given them by the voters in November and in polls that are selectively and skewed with ridiculous framing to support their point of view. Their vision? Hand victory in Iraq to the terrorists (pick your favorite flavor of terrorist: Al Qaeda of Iraq, Mahdi Army, Ansar Al Islam) and of course the states in the region that sponsor them, Syria and the soon to join the Nuclear Weapons club; Iran. Their vision provides no hope for anyone in Iraq except our enemies. They call for a "new strategy" and course in Iraq; and ignore the fact and refuse to support the one that is in place now-The Surge. The Iraqi people, only recently given the opportunity for the first time in their lives to taste freedom through voting, writing and ratifying a constitution, have now bravely started a fledgling democracy in a region filled with despots and Islamic fascism. Unfortunately they are at risk to have the very tongues that have tasted that freedom cut out by Islamic radicals who don't want that taste lingering on their tongues and who are determined to impose their will on them. With a set timetable and departure of U.S. forces without regard to Iraq's ability to defend their democratic gains; nothing will stop the carnage that will surely ensue in this vacuum.

Harry Reid and the Democrats have said that Iraq is lost. It is not. Far from it. These latest sensational attacks they cite are suicide and car-bombings. They indicate the exact opposite, they show the enemy is actually losing. They are unable to engage the U.S. or even the Iraq Army and security forces head-to-head as they have in the past. They must resort to these bombings as a result with all the sensational coverage, and of course the mainstream media and defeatist liberals fall lock-step into place with the enemies goal of getting the most propaganda possible from the carnage of these desperate acts. When Japan resorted to Kamikaze attacks in the Mariana's and Philippines during WWII was this a sign of imminent victory on their part? No. It was a last gasp act of desperation for an enemy that had no other course of action left to them. Did Ike and FDR quit the D-day invasion because it was getting too difficult on Omaha beach? The difference between FDR and the Democrats of today is FDR didn't surrender and quit like Harry Reid and Pelosi when the enemy scored a few hits on our carriers. The Democrats simply don't have the political courage, moral fortitude, nor the vision required for victory. This past week Nancy Pelosi skipped a briefing by General David Petraeus on the situation in Iraq. Why? Well perhaps she didn't want to be bothered by the facts of Iraq. I am sure the FACTS he would share like deaths from sectarian violence caused by death squads and militias that had roamed freely before in the now secured areas, dropped by over 500% in just the first month of the "Surge." These kind of facts just don't jive with how she sees Iraq. So, it was probably much better to skip the briefing and stick her fingers in her ears, closing her eyes and repeating over and over "I can't hear you...I can't...laaa laaa deeee deee dahhhh.." just like a child not wanting to hear something they know to be the truth. Certainly Petraeus' briefing and the facts and situational report he would have given don't jive with Democrats strategy to lose this war so they can win the White House. George Bush, and Republicans of principle voted to give the troops the tools, new IED-proof Grizzly armored vehicles (The vehicle funding that Democrats REMOVED from Bush's request and REPLACED with funding for Spinach, Shrimp, Peanuts, etc.) ammunition, training, and reinforcements necessary for our brave men and women fighting for victory in the war on terror. These troops awaiting crucial supplies, equipment, training and reinforcement most certainly know what is at stake. They know the heart of the enemy. They know what Al Qaeda, Iran, and Syria have in mind for Iraq and the region when the Democrats hand them our defeat.

Now, lets contrast these Democratic actions last week with the vision and leadership of Ronald Reagan and the Republicans that ensured that his concept for a missile shield nearly 30 years ago, on Thursday of last week enabled the Aegis class cruiser U.S.S. Lake Erie to detect, track, and destroy both a ballistic missile, and low level cruise missile in the same engagement.

When Ronald Reagan proposed the Strategic Defense Initiative he envisioned a break from the status quo of his liberal, appeasing, defeatist predecessor; Jimmy Carter. He envisioned this weapon system as a way to force the obsolescence of the policy "Mutually Assured Destruction", something he viewed as a perversion to common sense. To rely on an opponents good will and fear that an attack would mean the end was taking control out of our hands for our own defense and preservation and placing it in the hands of someone leading an evil empire. He had the vision to understand that by removing the success of a first strike by an enemy; you win. Furthermore you make offensive weapons impotent and irrelevant. Reagan also understood with the rise of Islamic radicalism in Iran, Lebanon, and the general concept that rogue nations like North Korea, or Iran that ever attained a Nuclear, Biological, or Chemical capability could have the means to strike us or our allies with these weapons launched via ballistic missiles. His vision was of course spot on. If not first for Reagan, George H. Bush, then George W. Bush, and the Republican majority in congress during the 90's protecting it from the Liberal, Democrat, Defeatist, appeasers who fought this program tooth and nail trying to kill, maim or end the program since day one; the U.S. Navy would not have shot down two missiles in Hawaii last week.

Last week illustrates how Reagan and Republican leadership, determination, moral clarity of purpose led to a vision for a project that would be decades in the making. This project even brought about the demise of the Soviet empire which would be validation enough for it's justification, and wisely Republicans had foresight to continue to see a need and to proceed with development to perhaps be called upon to defend the U.S. or it's allies like Israel from a potential nuclear attack. In a final irony, Ronald Reagan and his courageous conviction lives on and protects us today, possibly even from a future attack by Iran's President Ahmadinejad, who only a few years before Reagan announced his Strategic Defense Initiative was guarding and tormenting our Tehran hostages.

Lord help us if these vapid, defeatist, Democrat and Liberal cowards win the White House. Mr. Fred Thompson: we need you now, please get in soon!
